I finally repurchased a large tin of this tea from Adagio for my husband’s birthday. I did dedicate this to him years ago. We have known each other for 9 years! I love the large tin, though I am not sure how air tight the container is.

This tea is very fragrant and creamy and fruity. This brings back a lot of memories. I love this tea. Its a perfect blend of blueberry, vanilla, and cream. Delicious especially with some coconut sugar and skim milk. YUM!

Angel sent me this sample a few weeks ago. I was very curious to try this out when I saw it on the website. I was so excited to open this up! I had never tried a tangerine peel white tea… not even an orange peel tea, though I have seen them in the past viewing tea sites, chats, and blogs. So I used a very small clear glass teapot for this – approx 200mL. Upon opening this up, I poured the contents into the teapot. I saw two large pieces of dried, tough, dark orange tangerine peels mixed with fluffy white to medium green leaves that were small to medium sized. Some pieces were smaller I am assuming due to the packaging and me opening it up so excitedly! The scent of the dry leaf was fragrantly sweet but not overly so.

Brewing this tea – I didn’t use a timer but it was under 1 minute (approx 40 seconds). I loved observing the tangerine peel and tea leaves unfurling and dancing in the water. The brew was a light to medium yellow with a citrus scent. YUM! I love citrus. I did two brews only for this tea as it is late. (Just watched Copa America – Argentina vs USA! Messi is amazing!) Talk about tangent… anyway, the taste of the first brew was light, delicious, citrus with a mild walnut/nutty taste to it. I also detected a trace amount of floral tones to it. Maybe its just me. I love the sweetness this imparts with a hint of astringency toward the end of the cup. The second steep was a lot lighter. I steeped for 1 minute. Perhaps I could have gone longer but I am always wary of doing that. I don’t want to “burn” the tea. The wet leaves had a sour/sweet citrus scent. The liquidy goodness was still good but at this point the acidity of the citrus prevails – but not in a bad way. There is a hint of metallic-ness to it just like how some oolongs give me that flavor. Almost reminds me of lemon and water. The first steep was my favorite for sure. Good overall! I need to look up how this tea is made. I love the picture – I can imagine the tea being packed in that tangerine peel. I will definitely be trying my second sample of this soon.

Angel from Teavivre had sent me several samples again. Thank you so much Angel. I need to post more frequently here. I still drink a lot of tea. I just don’t post as often if ever.

Me being an oolong fan, this one did not disappoint. Zheng Wei Tie Guan Yin Oolong Tea is very delicious. The dry leaf was a mix of light to dark green leaves curled up fairly loose with some trace fuzziness to some of the leaves. The smell was very fresh, mild-moderately fragrant – floral. The scent of the steeped tea was delicious and beautifully fragrant when I get about 2 inches away. The tea was a very light yellow. The taste was delicious – yum! The first steep was very smooth, creamy, and had a buttery mouth-feel to it. The taste was slightly sweet with hints of flowers, honey, and very mild grassiness.

This is a complex oolong and changed with each steep. The 2nd steep became less sweet and a bit astringent toward the back of my mouth and a kind of dryness. The 3rd steep was more watery but I don’t think I steeped it long enough. I only did 3 steeps of this tea as I become distracted very easily. I love how tea keeps me centered and focused (for the most part!). My daughter turned 3 a few days ago. I can’t believe I’ve been on steepster for longer than that. Times flies super fast.

Nice tea with a light taste. I happened to find this in my tea cupboard. I am not sure how old this is _. Most of my teas are newer these days except for a few samples hiding away. Nice basic tea. The longer the steep the better the taste for this.

drank Almond Matcha by Matcha Outlet

This is absolutely delicious. I have to play around with how much to put in my matcha bowl. The first time I tried this it was too bitter at toward the end. I also tried this with milk and a bit of brown sugar, and that combination was DELICIOUS. I love the almond flavor and taste. It reminds me a bit of amaretto.

I love this tea! It has been a very long time since I posted, but I decided to delve into my sample box, which I haven’t done that in a long time. Upon drinking this tea, I had to write a note to remember how great this was. So sweet and floral. So fragrant. So delicious and light. 30 seconds is all it needed. Its amazing to go through my non-staple teas. I usually drink the same teas every day. I need to place an order soon to get this tea. Amazing!!!
