Surprisingly yummy. The green note is grassy, not seaweed-y. The fruit is sweet and peach (not mango, but it never is.)

Another “not terrible, but not for me” matcha. The smell of the chocolate is more noticeable than the taste, but the taste of seaweed and chocolate combined is very interesting. Not terrible, just interesting. I don’t get ay coffee taste from this, but that could be because I tend to drink strong coffee.

I don’t like lavender in tea at all, so of course this was the first tea in the advent calendar that I tried. (I’m also not sure I’m a fan of matcha.) That being said – this wasn’t terrible. The honey sweetness was amazing, and the lavender on taste just gave a slightly floral note (although it did lead to a bitter aftertaste.) If you don’t hate lavender you will probably really enjoy this one.

I am not a fan of ginger (I received this in a sample set.) However, with a touch on honey it has a pleasant, almost floral zing.

I did not think I liked chocolate teas. But this one is amazing. Black it is a touch too bitter, but with milk and sugar (just a touch of each) it is creamy and chocolately and delightful.

This is a terrible, terrible tea. I can usually pound through a mediocre or bad tea, but I ended up tossing the half of this mug. Thankfully it was just a sample. The apple is candy like, and the aftertaste is horrific. Bitter and chemical.

A nice creamy and malty breakfast blend. Not too aggressive/assertive but a good standard breakfast blend. Creamy rather than astringent. I would probably not like it to be iced. A hint of creme de cassis/black current as well, which I love.

Flavors: Black Currant, Cream, Irish Cream, Malt

I’m just not a maple or a cake/baked goods fan in a tea. Also the sample seemed weak.

Not for me. Although this brewed strong enough it was a no-go. The orange notes were very bright and sweet, pu’erh very dirty and rough. The combination was sweet at the beginning and musty at the end. Just not good.

Once again David’s Tea in bags fail me. All the right perimeters, 6-7 scant ounces of water, and it was weaksauce. However, this would be worth trying again loose leaf with enough leaves. (note: 4g was the listed weight, I’m not sure if that includes the bag itself. I need to check next time.)

Flavors: Cinnamon, Orange Zest
