Tried this with 195* water like Kusmi suggests and I have to say I like it much better with boiling water. It doesn’t have that same violet candy taste to it.
It just feels like the violet isn’t as sweet with the lower temperature, and maybe it’s better for the flavor of the black tea. Everything seems less pronounced this way, at least for me.
