The Tea Box Edit

A nice little tea shop. I had three of their teas when I was over in London. I think that the prices are fairly fair for the quality of the teas I tasted. I remember as a whole they were reasonable if you were coming in to sit down and enjoy the tea. I honestly did not check out how expensive they were to buy a tin of their tea.

The service is “meh”. I am a very patient soul, but when you and your pal are the only ones in the shop, it shouldn’t take an hour to get your tea. This happened one more than one occasion. This is what keeps me from giving it a four.

The food isn’t too bad, everything I had has my compliments. I only had a few of their selections as my diet makes my options rather limited sometimes.

It’s worth dropping by at least once if you find yourself in Richmond.

This place is amazing! Once inside there is an old fashioned tea room sense. You feel like you have been taken back to the old days of the British Empire when tea was the stuff that ruled the world.

You can sit and relax with one of a very wide selection of teas. Watch the world go by while waiting for your tea to brew. The friendly staff have a great knowledge of all the teas on offer and are happy to give advice about how long to brew the tea for. You also are given three egg timers one for weak, medium and strong so you can make sure you have the perfect cuppa.

You can also take afternoon tea or high tea with a wonderful selection of pastries and one of the best scrambled egg smoked salmon breakfasts you’ll find anywhere.
