6444 Tasting Notes
Made this as an eggnog latte and not gonna lie, it is sorta just incredibly disgusting. It’s like menthol with dark chocolate that has gone a bit off. The different chocolate elements give this a sort of strong alcohol scent that is hard to get passed and even if you do the flavor isn’t much better. In case you were unsure, I am definitely not a fan of this. Blech
I’m not sure if mint/menthol, rum, nutmeg, and cream go together. This blend is better with plain milk or cream. The nutmeg and mint just do not work. This isn’t one of the DT’s finer blends, though. There are many better chocolate pepperment herbals out there.
Channeling beach vibes during a Toronto winter :P http://sororiteasisters.com/2017/01/02/barbados-beach-from-tea-taxi/
Well, the holiday season might be over but I am still enjoying my festive teas: http://sororiteasisters.com/2017/01/02/sugar-plum-waltz-from-for-teas-sake/
Well this has cooled quite a great deal but it still captures the taste of an oatmeal raisin cookie…heavy on the raisin and with a great deal of cinnamon. The brew has an awesome fresh-baked cookie scent. All in all, its pretty tasty and though I wouldn’t mind slightly less cinnamon, I am pleased.
I drank it black and tbh I think the cinnamon came out more since it cooled. I imagine it would be more balanced if it were hotter.
Apparently I am not a fan of the smell of guava. Don’t mind the taste too much but it is hard to get to that point past the scent. When I do, the tea is smooth and sweet with a distinctively guava flavor…just one that is not as in-your-face as you would expect (thank goodness). I think that transitions nicely into the strawberry which is what comes at the end of the sip. It is a pretty nice tea but since I am maybe not the biggest guava fan, this is not one I personally need again.
Strange that they named the tea African summer. I always thought of guava as more of a Hawaiian fruit.
Guava is a thing in North Africa and the Middle East too. I am uncertain about the rest of Africa but probably there too.
