6444 Tasting Notes
I have owned this tea for a long time…as in 3 years or so. It is actually the first tea I had as a bubble tea/bubble tea latte and I loved it. When I moved back to Toronto, my roommate and I actually split what we had of this so for the longest time it was just hiding in an unmarked plastic bag shoved in the darkest corner of my stash…until today when I was trying to think of what would go well with peanut butter and vanilla pudding and I remembered this tea. Turns out it was a great call because this tasted like a milkshake dessert. Creamy but with a nutty/baked goods flavor. And, the frozen fruit really took a backseat to the tea and other components in the smoothie which is actually quite unusual. All in all, I was pretty happy with it and this tea is still delightful.

I have an interview tomorrow so the last 2 days I have been shopping for interview clothing/shoes. Unfortunately, it has not been going well. Apparently if you are plus size, it is impossible to get plain black dress pants or a professional looking dress. Seriously, it was impossible. Plus, the saleswomen I encountered were rude so that did not help the situation. Then today, I went in search of a sensible work shoe and apparently those don’t come in size 10. Yeah, it was not a fun experience but in the end I found enough to scrape together a decent ensemble. Hopefully the interview goes better.
With that said, when I came home, this tea seemed necessary. I iced the blend and as I sipped on it, I did get a nice caramel chocolate flavor. Alas, the rooibos base was just as present as the flavors. It was a battle in my cup and no one was winning. Also, the picture for this tea shows chocolate and blueberries while the description says chocolate and pineapple. Not getting any of those fruity flavors.
Those professional black pants are a nightmare. They cannot handle my glorious pear shape. I’m a skirts girl through-and-through when it comes to grown-up workwear.
I figured Raspberry Mousse au Chocolat would be quite tasty but I think I am just not a lover of raspberries in smoothies. I used this tea for its strong and rich flavor but the frozen raspberries really fought this for center stage. It was an interesting dessert type tea/smoothie since it wasn’t really sweet but it was fairly reflective of true Mousse au Chocolat, if the chef preparing it went overboard with tart raspberries.
Yet another tea from Sil. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!
With that said, I am not loving this cold brewed today. The pear, though subtle, is artificial and chemically and the base is what is strongest but also bland. I will continue to experiment but this prep method was certainly a bust.
So I made yet another smoothie using a strawberry-banana mixed fruit bag, peanut butter, and vanilla pudding. My hope was the vanilla pudding and this tea would compliment her but instead the peanut butter and strawberry are what shine. All of that is topped by the floral not of this tea. Again it’s good, and this is definitely sweeter than earlier raspberry smoothie but the chocolate varieties are still my preferred.
