6444 Tasting Notes
When I bought this, I did so with my tea twin, Roswell Strange, in mind. Unfortunately now that I am having the cold brew, I am finding myself a little disappointed since it is a bit bland. There is a berry flavor but it’s subtle and monotone. I keep looking for tartness where there is none. I still have a fair bit to play around with though so we’ll see how it goes.
This window has been open for a while and I completely forgot to write in it. Had this as a latte and its good but the base is more present than it usually would be. I think it is best as a normal hot brew which is good because I have one cup left so that is how I will enjoy it.
Food tasting for the wedding and this is the tea that accompanied my dessert testers. This smelled awesome and I worried about the bergamot but I think it’s growing on me. It actually pairs really nicely with the caramel in this blend. It’s a bit more brisk than I’d like given the bergamot but it really complimented my treats.
Soon. This will all be gone soon. I have the rest of the tea cold brewing for tomorrow and since there was only 1 tsp left, I figured I would use that in a hot cup. I think that if you are going to have this tea, this is the best prep method for it. It’s the first time in a long time that I am getting more caramel and less rooibos. Still not worth restocking but at least I can enjoy this mug.
Another tea from Sil that I am grateful to try. Today it was my school tea and definitely a welcome bit of niceness amongst my boring day. It’s got great flavor, creamy coconut (not lotiony) and tart pineapple. It comes together quite nicely actually. I am getting hibiscus but it is helping round out the flavors/sell the “pineapple” note. Granted there is also the apple flavor that comes with most fruit teas but blend as a whole does a good job of incorporating it rather than fighting it. All in all, a great caffeine-free choice for summer iced/cold teas.
In other news, I am having a bit of a moral dilemma. Got one of my exams back today and realized my teacher miscounted and gave me 3 extra marks. I debated about saying something but in the end there were so many other people in line to complain about their marks that I decided not to wait around to have marks taken away. Bad call or is it just one of those things you let slip by since no harm done? (If it helps, the 3 marks are the difference between a 96% (A+/4.0) and a 87% (A/also a 4.0))
I personally would let it slide if it’s the same GPA point. It’s not like you failed to show competence, or somehow accidentally swapped grades with someone who deserved it more.
