I am actually really impressed because this is 100% gingerbread for me. I was worried it would be just a ginger tea but this is like a liquid cookie and it is delicious. Thank you MissB for the share! This is one I might actually seek out while in London because it is really nice.

Roswell Strange sent me this many months ago and I have been at a loss for what to do with it. Usually I drink my matcha with milk but Champagne milk just seemed like an odd choice. However, for some reason, a champagne vanilla smoothie seemed like it would work better. In hindsight I’m not sure why but that’s how I made this and unfortunately all the champagne flavor is drowned out by the vanilla smoothie mix. Seriously, I am getting no flavor at all and seeing as it’s distinctive flavoring, I should be able to taste something but alas I got nothing at all. Still, thank you Roswell Strange for the share!

I was excited about the raspberry component but not really that enthused about the violet or green base. Still, MissB was kind enough to share so I figured it was at least worth a try. However, I find myself drinking the cup trying to ignore the strong florals of the violet instead of enjoying the sweet raspberry or the tea as a whole. In the end, as fun as it is to try, this tea just isn’t for me. Still, I would like to thank MissB for sending some my way!

Made this as a latte and though the caramel is strong, so is the sencha. Caramelly grass. Good but weird.

Brewed this with cashew milk and it was incredibly sweet. This is definitely best paired with traditional milk.

Marzipan. I get lots of marzipan. And a nutty liqueur. Plus a nice dose of coconut. It’s not what I expected but it’s tasty nonetheless. Thank you MissB!

I brewed this up the same way I made the Elephant Vanilla Chai and I expected something more green tea tasting. In reality I just got a less vanilla-y version of the elephant chai. Weird but delicious! Thanks Roswell Strange.

I had this a couple nights back as my nightly latte and though it was good, it wasn’t as good as I remembered. There was a nice chocolate raspberry flavor to it but there was also a large dose of honeybush as well. I swear that I go through phases where honeybush and rooibos really bother me and phases where they don’t. Unfortunately right now, I’m put off by the bases which makes for certain teas to be less enjoyable. Still, “less enjoyable” doesn’t mean bad and this still made for a nice evening treat so thank you Sil for passing this along :)

My cupboard has grown exponentially since joining this site and I have a lot to share. Feel free to snoop through my cupboard and message me if anything interests you – I am always happy to swap!

For me, flavored teas are definitely my sweet spot. I will most often reach for black teas and rooibos or honeybush blends but I do keep some flavored whites and greens around for when the mood strikes. I have a few herbals/tisanes but most of the time I find myself disappointed by them as they often smell deliciously sweet and then end up tasting tart/sour. I have a little bit of an aversion to pu’erh and oolong teas. I am also wary of florals, earl greys, and chai teas. I do not like overpowering citrus flavors nor do I usually like hibiscus, licorice or chamomile. I love dessert teas – caramel, vanilla, toffee, cookie, cream, and other sweet flavors make me smile. Fruits like strawberry, peach, mango, and pineapples will often catch my attention as well.

I have also realized that although I really enjoy adding frothed milk to some of my teas, if I do not like the tea with zero additives (just in plain water without milk or sugar), I probably won’t drink it. The one exception is flavored matchas which I will happily drink in cold milk if I do not like it mixed with hot water. My theory is if the tea can’t stand on its own then it is not for me and I will more than likely try to swap it out for something else.

Tea Ratings Guide (as of December 10, 2017)
90-100 Teas I NEED on hand at all times
80-89 Teas I want to keep around for a cup every now and then
70-79 Teas I am glad I have around and can experiment with but probably don’t need more than what’s in my cupboard
60-69 Teas I would not turn down a cup of from a friend but that would probably be enough
50-59 Teas I can see why someone would enjoy but are not for me
Under 50 Teas I really did not like and most likely got dumped
