I definitely prefer this iced to the hot cup. I find the sweet lemon stands out more when cold while the floral notes take more of a backseat. The whole tea is actually more mellowed than the hot cup which allows the flavors to work together more harmoniously as opposed to competing for attention. All in all, I think the creamy lemon dessert flavor is best highlighted iced and thus that is how I would recommend enjoying it. With that said, I think my relationship with this tea has run it’s course so the rest will be passed on to my awesome tea twin, Roswell Strange. 175.

The guava is strong with this one both in scent and taste. It is pleasant and fruity and would most likely make a nice cold brew, though the hot cup is still nice. I worried the hibby would make this tart but this cup is smooth and sweet. I don’t taste the strawberry much either so perhaps the hibby and strawberry are canceling each other out and leaving the guava alone to really shine. However, guava is a taste that I am not a huge fan of and I find at times the scent can either be appealing or off putting depending on my mood. With that in mind, this certainly isn’t going to be a staple in my cupboard but it has made for a fun new tea to try. Thank you Naylynn for passing it along.

I wanted something sweet and creamy and that is exactly what this tea is. Delicious fruity sweetness and a thick creamy vanilla. The flavors have dulled a bit with age which has led to the base being more present (and more drying) than I remember. Still it is still a tasty cup.

So when I drink this, I can’t help but compare it to Fauchon’s L’Hiver and Butiki’s Lemon French Macaroon. Of the three, I think the addition of rose in this one makes it my least favorite as at times it can verge on being a touch too floral. However in the cup, the floral element, though strong, does work and the base provides the perfect stage for the flavors to shine. It has a really fresh and bright flavor from the lemon and a nice creamy vanilla to round it out. One aspect I enjoy is that this is a much bolder cup in terms of flavor than the other two which tend to be far more subtle. So at times when I want a lemon dessert tea that is much more noticeable, this is the one I would reach for. With that said, typically when I crave these flavors, I crave the more subtle/gentle take on it as well.

This stuff is good – rich and creamy. However, when I steeped this I think I was in the mood for a sweet hot chocolate type treat and this is a bit more grown up and dark chocolate-esque.

Caramel and carrot with a rich black base. It definitely is a Fall tea and it is pleasant enough but nothing mindblowing. Plus, it has a similar thickness to the Pumpkin Chai less all the spices. I wish the garam masala was more present as it would make it stand out from other teas I have had but it still makes a nice cup of hot tea in the morning.

I brewed this hot and when I took my first sip, I found it rather astringent so I added milk. That actually helped quite a bit. This went from a bitter mess to a creamy marshmallow-esque tea. Definitely an improvement. However, it is still not really “s’mores” to me because it lacks the chocolate and graham cracker flavors. Plus, if I need milk to bring out the marshmallow than it is not something I need to keep stocked. If a tea can’t stand on its own, most of the time, it is just not worth keeping around.

I work with a friend of mine and since she has a car and I don’t, she often drives me to/from work when we have the same (or at least similar) shifts. Oftentimes I like to make her tea or do something nice for her to show my appreciation. The other day, I made her a cold brew of this because (a) she loves Birthday Cake as a cold brew so I thought it would be fun for her to try something similar but different and (b) she introduced me to cotton candy grapes so I know she likes the flavor of cotton candy. Well, this was quite a success because all day she kept telling me she liked the tea. Consequently, while in DAVIDs, I tried to pick her up some of this but they were all sold out. That got my mind stressing that I might never have this tea again (despite having about 50g at home) and so this afternoon I was on the website planning to order another 100-250g. Then I thought, maybe I should actually drink the tea again before I do that instead of just romanticizing the idea of it because I think I am losing it. So here we are…

Tonight I made it hot and the sugar overload smell got my mouth watering because I was in the mood for sweet. However, though good, the flavor wasn’t as strong as I hoped. I did, however, add milk to try it a bit different and that helped the flavors pop which is making for a really good creamy dessert type tea. The flavors together are reminding me of ice cream and I love ice cream so I am quite pleased tonight. Yum :)
