6444 Tasting Notes
This smells AMAZING! Like a Kinder Bueno which makes sense since it is a rooibos tea with nougat. Tastewise, I was taken aback at first because the nougat flavor is actually stronger than it comes across in smell. Also, it smelled as though their might be a chocolate component to this but the taste is 100% nougat. Not bad but certainly different from anything else I have had. I look forward to seeing what OMGsrsly thinks of this when I send her her share.
Preparation
I wasn’t a lover of DAVIDs Bamboozled but this, I really like this. The bamboo provides body and a solid base for a nice fruity flavor of berries and currant. I could definitely enjoy this often. I think I see a Tea Desire order in my future. Thank you Roswell Strange for sharing it with me :)
Preparation
Thank you Fjellrev (and Sil) for some of this delicious matcha. It is sweeter and creamier than the mocha matcha and with a bit less of coffee flavoring but it is still very good and the two are quite similar. I think out of the two, for my tastes, I would get this again but I am not sure if it would make the cut when compared to all the other matchas I have tried.
Thank you Roswell Strange for sending me more of this tasty, tasty blend. Just a whiff of lapsang souchong and I start to crave it. It has a whiff of smoke to compliment the sweet cherry and creamy vanilla – a blend that perfectly captures Irene Adler. Luckily I picked up 3 oz along with samplers in the most recent Adagio sale but I won’t see that until I go back home at the end of April/beginning of May so I am super grateful to have some cups to hold me over.
Sipdown!! (197)
So I was pretty worried about this because my swap partner, Roswell Strange, did not seem to be a fan. Luckily she sent me some to try though because I actually am enjoying this. It is chocolatey until the sip is almost over, at which point a little chili kick comes through. I don’t know if I would want 50 g of it but I would not turn down another cup. Thank you Roswell Strange for sending me a sample to try.
Preparation
Thank you keychange for sharing this delicious tea with me. It is subtle but brilliant. Floral but not perfumey with a beautiful champagne flavor. Somehow the fizziness was even captured in this blend. Sipping on this makes me feel as though I should be at an afternoon party held in the backyard of someone’s estate home, sipping on champagne while clothed in a beautiful dress. Okay, I may have watched a bit too much TV today but you get what I mean. The only downside? 6 cups cost $6.50 :(
Preparation
I think it was originally Cavocorax and then Courtney who had the idea of mixing this with milk and letting it sit for a few hours. That method seemed to get positive reviews so I decided to try it out. I find that the peanut butter flavor is a little more infused into the milk as a whole making for a thicker cup that is more reminiscent of peanut butter. However, with that said, there isn’t as much a difference between this cup and the cup I usually have to justify the wait if I want a cup immediately.
Thank you Roswell Strange for yet another RiverTea blend to try. This is a flavorful rooibos but most of the flavor is coming from hibiscus which is making me sad. There is also a hint of cherry hanging in the background but it is being completely upstaged by the tart attention-hog that is hibby.
Think of it as a cola float! :P
Haha that is what got me to make it this way but it certainly doesn’t taste like a cola float. It sorta tastes like licorice.
Sorry! I know I mentioned it on someone’s note.
Haha no need to be sorry. The theory made sense, the result was less pleasant :P
Oh no D: Back to finding creative ways to try this…
