1 Tasting Note

Ok. So the guy at Teavana was VERY convincing with his wafting of tea aromas. I loved the smell, so I bought a small amount. I made it twice on my own, varying from a lift pink to a purple brown, following the directions on the can exactly. The taste was not worth the price.

So, to prevent my tea from wasting away, I bought a prepared cup of Snow Geisha from the store. It was a dark, burgandy!! The taste was very tart but I dont know how to get mine like that! Any help??

I get that deep, deep burgundy color when I first rinse my tea leaves. By the time I drain my first rinse and brew the tea, the color goes to a light pink, and by the second brew the color goes to a faint brownish pink or lilac. My guess is that to get that color you’d need to use more tea than normal (several heaping teaspoons) and only use the tea from the first brew.
