A nice black tea. Steeped it in fresh boiling water for 3 minutes. A little malty, and strong but didn’t get dry mouth like I do with lower quality teas. It’s nothing note-worthy, but I’ll gladly finish the bags I have left.

I also steeped this 3 times before I chucked the tea bag..

According to the Mariage Freres description, this tea was ‘inspired by the legendary aroma of Earl Grey.’ I love green tea, and Earl Grey is my favorite black tea, so this tea is right up my alley.

I find that this tea tastes the best when steeped for a very short period of time.. I literally just pour the hot water through my tea strainer and call it a day, otherwise I find that the tea is a little bitter.

This tea is nice, but I think I’ll stick to Lupicia Grapefruit Green for my citrus-y greens.

I will refrain from giving this a score because I generally dislike Hibiscus. I gave this a shot because Lupicia has made me into a believer for a few teas that I thought there was no chance I’d like…

With that, just no.. nonononononononono

A basic, straight forward tea. A nice black tea with a cinnamon finish. I would not buy for myself, but would drink it if offered to me.

I think I would prefer this brewed strong with a little milk and sugar.

I received a pack of Teatonics’ Mind-Awakening Yerba Mate with my Taste the World subscription box. I never had Yerba Mate before, so I was excited to try it. I generally do not gravitate to tea’s that market any type of energy or detox benefits on their packaging but as I stared groggily into my tea stash on the first work day of 2016, buzz phrases like “mind-awakening”, “holiday energy”, and “morning vitality and focus” stood out.

Brew: Yellowish green and the aroma clearly reflects the ingredients listed on the packaging. Herbal and Minty with nice amount of citrus.

Taste: Pleasant if you like herbal drinks. Tasted well-balanced. I didn’t have to search for any of the citrus flavors. I was also pleasantly surprised that I got a good amount of grapefruit flavor even though it’s the last ingredient listed on the package.

I also like the slight energy buzz I got off of it. Coffee sometimes sends me over the edge, and a lot of teas don’t do enough.

Received this as part of a sampler set I bought earlier this year. I found the description intriguing with the inclusion of papaya and guava, but I was underwhelmed. I’m positive this would have tasted amazing cold, but the hot steeping resulted in a generic tropical taste. If going the tropical route, I much prefer Jardin Sauvage.

Groggily reached for this sampler tea bag this morning, not having any idea of what it was. This is definitely a new favorite for me. The tropical fruit flavor is just right. It’s not too much and not too little.

I’ll definitely have to purchase this when the weather gets warmer, as it will certainly taste lovely iced.

A nice solid black tea! The malty-ness was just right for me after steeping for the recommended 3 minutes. I find it smooth going down with the tannins kicking in a little later.

I would definitely drink this in the AM if I wanted something a little lighter than coffee. I’ll probably try it out with a splash of creamer next time to see how it works together.

Picked up a box of fruit flavored black tea bags from Fortnum & Mason whilst in England. When steeping there is a strong apple smell (almost like an green apple jolly rancher). It’s well balanced and straight forward. It’s very much black tea, and it’s very much apple!

While it’s a nice tea, I would probably only drink this tea if offered to me or if it comes in another sampler.

A friend of mine gave me several bags of this tea and i am on my last bag. Now that I am on my last bag I can agree that the brew can vary quite a bit depending on the temperature and steep time.

My favorite brew so far has been todays. I let the water cool down a little bit before I steeped and the brew came out rather nice. Green base, nice hit of citrus and the faintest amount of spice (peppery) for a nice kick.
