The scent of this steeping is really good at garnering compliments!

Cut this with some CTC Assam (H&S) for a morning cup yesterday. Pleased with the results! This tea is too interesting straight as a wake up tea, but mixed with my Assam it lent some complexity without being too confusing for a morning wake-up! tea.

A nice mellow cup for a Saturday afternoon. I’m going back to my usual position of preferring straight whites to flavoured, but I think it’s mostly because flavoured blends have broken bits of leaves instead of full leaves.

Had a mug of this last night before bed. Steeped a bit long, so the licorice was strong.

One of my new go-to teas at work, it appears. I am never able to predict what teas achieve that spot.

edit: Second steep is also quite nice! Mellow, not disappointing. Way to go, tea!

Today was the PERFECT cup. Crazy! Was late pouring in the water, so it was a bit below boiling, and then I forgot my tea a second time and it oversteeped, but that plus some milk and I got my dream cup.

My tea looked particularly delicious today. Perfect shade of tea.

Using a teabag so I can have this at work. Not happy about it! Tea itself looks to be doing the best it can under the circumstances, however.

I have a lot to learn about tea. So far, I know that I love drinking it. Black tea with milk to wake me up in the morning, endless cups of green tea at Chinese restaurants with friends in the evening, spiced tea with sugar for an indulgence, herbal tea with honey to calm me down…TEA!

likes: vanilla, cinnamon, spices

less-liked: fruity teas, artificial additives (although I might be okay if I don’t know about them? I don’t know yet).

I’d like to blend my own tea someday, with essential oils and good quality plain tea and the like. The idea of my own earl grey or monk’s blend is really enticing.
