After my previous super tart tea I decided to try this tea that I have been wanting to try for a while now and thanks to the ever so nice Rabs I am able to do so! I sipped this tea right after it was done being steeped and with it being so hot I could only detect a bit of cherry and honeybush. Now that it was cooled off a bit to where I can sip it without being overly cautious I can taste the pineapple, the sweet cherry, and the honeybush…which BTW I think honeybush was an awesome pick for this blend as it gives the tea that “cake” taste…very impressed! This is a fun tea and a very well done bled :-)

Wow! The pomegranate in this tea packs quite a punch, it is quite tart… WAY too tart for my taste!!! I added 1/2tsp of german rock sugar to see if it would help mellow out the tartness, it helped a little but not enough. I then added another 1/2tsp of german rock sugar and it now made the tea tolerable, but still quite tart and a bit bitter. I have let it cool down to room temp. and it has helped a little, but I think I will have to pour this one down the drain. I can’t get past all of this tartness :-|

I can’t stop… I need a Starbucks intervention (no, seriously I do)! LOL, this one didn’t have as much matcha as I prefer, but still a nice summer treat :-D

Cofftea

Try the matcha powder in a hot chocolate or mocha:)

Oooh I don’t know about that! I’m not much of a chocolate fan, every once in a while I’ll eat a piece of dark chocolate or possibly a bite of caramel chocolate and that’s about it and usually only once or twice out the whole year lol. But thanks for the idea, I’m sure others would love that combo… it does sound interesting ;-)

I am currently sipping on this tea as a type and honestly this is really different tasting Jasmine Dragon Pearl. First off I noticed that the pearls are darker than most, but no biggie; I’ve seen darker pearls before and they’re still yummy! Second thing I noticed that it produced a nice amber/honey colored tea. Now fast forward to now and this tastes… well, I don’t know really. I can’t really taste the green tea, but I do pick up a faint bitterness. The jasmine tastes like a jasmine perfume versus jasmine flowers :-| Seems, a bit artificial and to be lacking something somewhere. I’m still a bit confused by this tea…

I have finally gotten around to trying this tea that the wonderful Rabs had sent me in a swap. She said it was her favorite and that by me being a jasmine lover and a fan of earl grey, should appreciate… of course I was intrigued and eagerly awaited this! Unfortunately, I tend to drink alot of my tea at night or in the evening when I have some time to myself and the kids are in bed; I will usually seek out the white teas so I wont be tossing and turning all night. But today I decided I will make the time and try this out. Looking at the tea I noticed a full rose bud alone with several rose petals, very pretty against the black leaves! But by seeing this I was scared this would taste overly rosey, which is not my forte. Now, putting all of that aside I steeped this visually appealing tea and took my first sip and the rose was not overpowering at all! The jasmine I would say was the strongest note, followed by the rose and then the bergamot. But here is where the magic happens… the flavors all meld together quite nicely… to the point where I simply wonder how did they do that?!

This is a very good and different earl grey tea and I thank you Rabs for letting me try this one :-)

Hooray! You’re so very welcome :D

I tried this thinking that it would be a fairly floral tea, but once I tried it I realized why they said this would be great to drink after a meal…the peppermint makes itself known and the floral notes take the backseat. This was ok, but definitley nothing to write home about…perhaps if you are a peppermint fan this would be good, but I was hoping for more of a floral tea. This mixture of the slight floral notes with the peppermint just seems kinda weird to me.

I had this iced thinking this would be a nice summer tea to have, and it is pretty nice for a black tea (I’m not a black tea lover hehe, but I still try give an honest review on the taste and quality). I could definitley taste the strawberry and it didn’t taste artificial, which is a HUGE plus to me…the more natural it can be the more I appreciate it. I could also taste a slight sweet mango taste as well, but this was very faint. Before I read the ingredients I couldn’t even put my finger on what that “additional” taste/flavor was, but when I read the ingredients I said, “ah ha! that’s what that was!” Now as far as the black tea, I think it was slightly bitter, but perhaps that was the tartness of the strawberry that I was picking up on and not that actual tea itself? It was a bit hard for me to tell, but it was pleasent and refreshing for an iced summer drink.

I was wanting a white tea tonight before bed and I came across this one. The smell of course, like other Georgia Tea Company teas smacks you right in the nose when you open it up…which usually is always a plus! Once steeped it was delicate like most white teas, but flavorful at the same time… but not over powering. The flavors along with the white tea complimented each other perfectly and is naturally sweet. This is probably my favorite tea from the Georgia Tea Company thus far :-)

I had this last night and I must say I was impressed! This was about medium bodied and I could really detect the honey in it along with a bit of an earthy taste to it, but a light earthy taste. I definitley enjoyed this oolong and can’t wait to try the other samples that I received from them!

I didn’t realize Starbucks blended drinks were on here! This is one of summer guilty pleasures…I like it with more matcha versus more cream/syrup or whatever “sweetness” that is. When I have a sweet tooth or want ice cream I will usually go get one of these and it gets the trick done with no problem. I love this drink!

Bio

I am a tea enthusiast who is always looking to try a new tea, but my all time favorite is jasmine pearls…or anything with jasmine in it really. I also am a sushi fanatic and simply can’t live without it. Outside of my fanatasy world of all things tea and sushi I am an executive assistant, mother of 2 and personal taxi/maid and chef service for my little family.

But back to the tea!

I love Jasmine Pearls, just about any White Tea and then we have Pu-erh coming in last as my top three.

However, I still enjoy a good Earl Grey tea, the more bergamot the better! I have a fond place in my heart for Matcha, especially iced Matcha Lattes. Flavored green teas are always fun, but I tend to stay away from the overly grassy tasting ones… they always remind me of a wheatgrass shot!

It takes a special black tea to really win me over, for me I find that they all taste too much alike or tend to be too bitter at times; I think I am more so bored with them.

Oolongs are fairly new to me and I am finding that these are really good and they will probably end up making it as one of my top contenders!

Pu-erh I have yet to try; I am very curious, but a bit scared to try it… something about being aged in a cave just frightens me a bit, but I would like to try one in the very near future :-) Update – I have tried a few pu-erhs and I can’t get enough of them! While they are definitely an acquired taste they are lovely! This has now taken over rooibos in my top 3 teas of choice!
