767 Tasting Notes

yesterday i went to dinner with two other tea drinkers. they are ladies who like white teas and green teas and rooibos more than me. so i did this awesome thing where i packed up all the pooibos (HAHAHA TYPO! i’m keepin it) and a a few greens i didn’t need anymore into my little tea share bags and gave them both samples and they loved them!
win win!!
they get new teas to try and enjoy for free, and i get to enjoy a brilliant beautiful cleaned out tea stash for the new year!!
i freakin love my tea stash now! so very beautiful.
i could close my eyes and pick almost any tea and drink something i’ll enjoy.
and that’s how things should be eh?
less rooibos in 2014.

the lemongrass saves this rooibos blend.

Awesome! I’d have done the same thing! and hear hear to a less rooibosy 2014!

Yeah, sadly I fell a little less out of love with rooibos this year. :/

i have so much fic to read. i feel like my email is blowing up with new posts of stories. huge ones that exceed 100k words, and tiny little ideas that are adorable in both content and size (300 words).
it’s a little daunting? but MOSTLY just gleeful.
tea and a book. tea and a book!!
poetry. fan fiction. memoirs. non-fiction. comics. art books. on and on. there’s never enough time!!
maaaybe if i spent less time on steepster? …. NAW! nope wrong answer :)

this tea. not a keeper. i really thought i would flip for it more. but it just kinda came and went. i barely remember it to be honest. i’ll have another pot within the next week or so. perhaps i’ll amend my post when i do.

angel tea!
and this is a tea i will probably buy a tin’s worth of.
i’m adding it to my shopping list for later.
this tea has everything i love in it.

i meditated today. a whole big 15 min too.
that never happens.
i really want to maintain a practice this coming year.
i guess IF i was a person who had new years resolutions, that would be one of them yup.

i bought this one completely blind.
i didn’t taste it before hand and just dove in and ordered 100g. BAM
i don’t think i super duper love it exactly the way i thought i would, but i suspect strongly that it’s one of those teas that will grow on me in a deeper way.
the part that lured me in was the “biscuit” and the “orange” “apricot” flare.
no regrets. not at all.

oh damn gurrl this rulez!

i’m so so so glad i got the advent calendar. they took it down off their website now. but that’s okay. i will continue to order 100g bags from them. using the teas i got to taste this winter and the taste profiles/descriptions i’m sure i’ll make some good choices in the future.

also, i’m kinda a chocolate tea fanatic. so if you get me with one tea, you probably have me with all the chocos in your catalog.

never would have expected to like this one more than the American Tea Room Apricot but hell, i just do. i will consider buying a small tin of this in the spring. i’m even adding it to my shopping list as a reminder, and heck i rarely do that.
it’s not like amazing or anything, but i could easily see myself chugging a cup on a regular basis when the sun is out. know what i mean :)

I want to try this one!! I seem to find Harney teas surprisingly superior too. Subtle tea is subtle.

you’re gonna dig it oddree. pretty sure. (no pressure! haha)

this tea seems pretty well liked by steepsterites, and i’m always glad when someone finds a tea to love xox … but … and you knew there was a but … it did not impress me. i’m gonna have to give it a few more rounds of course, once is never enough, but i’ve met other vanillas i liked more.

super fun! and i always love a vanilla mint combo.
only one scoop of tea left. and the solitary piece of popped popcorn just keeps floating around in the tin. bop bop.

I wasn’t gonna steal that kernel…

i have a lot of teas to make notes on.
the ones that left an impression i can remember fairly well :)
but this one, not so much.

Terri HarpLady

I hate when that happens :)

I agree. Kind of a weird stevia aftertaste?
