When I saw this online, it definitely got my interest. The ingredients list was very simple, and best of all, this was an herbal blend with no hibiscus! I do not mind hibiscus being in my tea, and I understand it gives tea a beautiful, vibrant colour. But often, it can be too tart for my liking.

I loved the smell of this tea! It reminded me of lemon grass! When steeped, I also thought it tasted okay. I think this is a tea I could see myself buying and mixing into other blends. On its own, its a bit weak, but I think paired with something else (like ginger, lemon grass etc.) it could be awesome!

Since the Tea Haus teas are so reasonably priced, I most likely will buy this agian just to do my own DIY blending.

I’m with you on the hibiscus, it tends to bully other flavors into submission. :P

As far as this tisane, dried apple doesn’t tend to add much flavor unfortunately, so I’m not surprised it tasted weak.

You’re so right! But sometimes, it can work it blends haha! :) And yes! That must be why it was a weaker blend, but I still enjoyed it nonetheless!

Hello everyone!

So, how did I get into tea? I think I have always had a fascination with tea. But I really got obsessed with it after watching Avatar: The Last Airbender. I loved how Uncle Iroh used tea as a way to both practice self-care and connect with others.

I aspire to do the same through my tea endeavours.

My Favourite Canadian Small Tea Businesses: (Thus far! As I explore new tea brands, I am sure this list will grow)

Dessert by Deb
The Tea Haus
The Chai Brewing Company

My Preferred Preparation:
For black teas, I prefer the stove-top method with milk and sugar. For all other teas and herbal infusions, I usually prefer having them hot without any add-ins. However, I do like an occasional iced tea! Especially for some fruity or floral blends.

My Tea Preferences:
I enjoy flavoured teas more than straight teas; however, I do have a soft spot for traditional green or oolong teas.

Favourite Flavours:
- Masala chai (cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, and other warming spices!)
- Cream
- Mint
- Tropical fruit (lychee, mango, pineapple)
- Maple
- Orange
- Roasted/smokey
- Caramel
- Floral (especially jasmine)
- Honey
- Nuts (hazelnut, almond)
- Sweet potato
- Fall fruits (apples, cranberries)
- Earl Grey
- Vanilla bean

Least Liked Flavours:
- Anything that tastes too artificial (especially vanilla or chocolate!)

- Tart (too much hibiscus)

- Ginseng

- Guarana powder

- Coconut oil (or oily teas)

- Red rooibos
