2170 Tasting Notes
Thanks for another lovely tea, Dustin!
This is hit-you-in-the-face raspberry, wow. It reminds me somewhat of 52teas’ Peanut Butter & Raspberry Jelly but without the nuttiness and way more raspberry. It’s just so good. This will be going on my to-buy list next time I make a purchase from Lupicia.

Yay for more tea from Dustin!
Dustin sent so many teas from my wishlist for me to try, including this one. It’s so unashamedly floral – I love it! Still have lots of this one left so will write a proper review at some point later on. I drank it so quickly that all I remember is its strong floral aroma which reminds me of my favorite floral tea (Valley of the Heart’s Delight by Satori).

When you change the steep time on this, it becomes green apple tea with a hint of rose. What a chameleon it is!
It has been years…if you check some old notes it should specify what the magic numbers were! I don’t remember!
James has been drinking this one a lot this week, so it’s been tempting me. Decided to have a cup today and it is strawberry candy deliciousness. Mmm.
Flavors: Candy, Strawberry

I restocked a few old favorites during my spending spree last month, this being one of them. It’s been several years since I’ve had this one in my tea cabinet, so I’m glad to see it back. It’s just a perfect blend of dark chocolatey tea and coconut. I do worry that the coconut might be starting to turn already, even though it’s two years out from the expiration date. Does that happen often? James says it smells fine to him, but I think maybe my sense of smell is a bit more sensitive than his. It tastes good though!
Flavors: Dark Chocolate
Preparation
I’m not a big fan of Stash teas generally, but I do like this one. It tastes more like a black tea to me, none of the roasted qualities I might normally associate with an oolong. Equal parts chocolate and mint. I can’t say I’d buy a box of it or anything, but I have a few teabags and I’ll enjoy them while they last. Thank you, tea-and-cats, for the sweet card and shared tea!
Flavors: Chocolate, Peppermint
Preparation
I’ve fallen behind on my swap teas, so if you’ve sent something and I haven’t mentioned it here yet I promise I’m working through them! This one was a gift from Dustin and one I’ve been wanting to try for a while. It has a strong vanilla flavor and a sort of nuttiness to it. James said it tasted like vanilla but then pickles (??), so I’m pretty glad I’m not picking up on that particular flavor. I wouldn’t say it’s my favorite vanilla black, but it’s certainly enjoyable. Thank you, Dustin!
Flavors: Nutty, Vanilla

Another sad sipdown. Maybe one day Joseph Wesley will return. This is one I would definitely repurchase. It’s got a bittersweet chocolate vibe, very deep and dark. Plus, it’s kept is flavor much longer than others I purchased from JW around the same time. Highly recommend.
Flavors: Dark Bittersweet, Dark Chocolate, Malt
Preparation
All this time, I thought this blend was a coconut and lavender EG. Turns out, there isn’t any lavender at all! Not sure why I had that in my head, but that’s definitely the reason I tend to avoid this one. I can do lavender on occasion and it’s sometimes nice in an Earl Grey blend, but I hardly ever really want to drink it. Now that I know this one doesn’t have lavender, maybe I can bring myself to finally finish the bag. I got lured in by the “only available once a month!” marketing strategy, and now I have 2 or 3 ounces of it. It’s good but not a repurchase. Not unless I change my mind between now and the bottom of the bag.
Flavors: Bergamot
Preparation
This one was awful. I should probably toss it. It’s old. I didn’t like it. James didn’t like it. It’s well past its prime, but who knows if I would have liked it even when it was fresh. Green teas are a struggle for me.
Flavors: Astringent, Bitter, Jasmine
Preparation
This one’s a sipdown, and I sure will miss it. It’s such a nice balance of flavors and it’s really held up well all this time. This was my oldest tea, from way back in 2015. Slowly but surely knocking them out.
Flavors: Astringent, Honey, Mineral, Rooibos, Smoke, Tobacco
