This tea has been kicking around for what feels like forever. I expected thick, creamy Andes mint level flavor and got … black tea with a hint of mint. In my disappointment, I’ve avoided this one, only returning to it because it’s a mindless work tea and I’d be happy to sip it down.

I made this yesterday at work and discovered it doesn’t oversteep! I completely forgot about it brewing while talking to my boss and a ten minute steep only served to bring out the mint. Granted, I added creamer, but I do that with all my black teas and this was great! Still not my favorite, but I’m glad this was somewhat redeemable.

I became interested in tea spring 2013, when some friends of mine brought me to a local tea shop. I’ve been experimenting since, and am absolutely in love! I am especially fond of blended teas, and I’m a sucker for gimicky flavors.

My cupboard is stocked with a lot of DAVIDsTEA at the present, although I do have a few teas from some local shops. I’m looking forward to branching out and trying teas from different vendors and shops. Let the journey begin!
