drank Is It Autumn Yet? by 52teas

This is older!  I have been enjoying it over the years and thought it was time for a note.  The concept here was perfect for me.  The name certainly fits for me too – I wouldn’t mind if autumn was about 85% of the year!  But it’s the shortest season. I wonder where in the world the longest fall is…  At least in NY I definitely get that full autumn with beautiful trees experience, so I’m grateful for that.  Honeybush/rooibos base with apple & pear flavors full of spices including nutmeg and allspice!   It’s quite good.  Though I have always wished for more nutmeg and more pear and apple flavor.  But the concept is a great one.  It really calls up autumn. Maybe it’s time for this one to make a comeback (but I probably say that with most blends from 52Teas.)
Steep #1 // 1 1/3 teaspoons for a full mug // 20 minutes after boiling // 1 1/2 minute steep
Steep #2 // just boiled // 5-6 minute steep

I would expect that New England have a wonderful fall. Here it is slowly getting colourful :)

I miss the trees so much since moving to the desert!

Temperatures in Missouri aren’t cooperating yet, but the leaves are starting to! We are at peak right around Halloween.

I love autumn so much! My favorite time of year – it’s chilly but not too terribly cold, just cool enough to where a cup of hot tea is so comforting that it feeds the soul. I just released a tea called Cozy Cuppa – which isn’t really all that similar to this one – but I think it’s very autumn-ish too – and it’s my favorite tea from September. It’s a honeybush base, VERY maple-y with some cinnamon, allspice, clove and nutmeg. If you like maple – you really should try it.

AjRimmer – I feel for you missing the trees! I love trees a lot, so I don’t think I could do the desert.

gmathis & Martin – happy autumn :D

52Teas – agree completely there. And that new blend sounds amazing.

Fall all year round? I’d move there!

I like this one a lot too. And I still have some. Tis the season!

Most of the teas listed in my cupboard are actually sample sizes. I don’t really have 2,000 ounces of tea around here! Many of my teas have only one teaspoon left… maybe two. But I like keeping them in my cupboard list for reference to what I could be sipping. Usually, I write tasting notes once for each tea. I’m still drinking them, just not writing tasting notes each time!

I’m always in search of: Hattialli, Qu Hao black, Jin Jun Mei, teas using marshmallow root.

My dislikes: hibiscus, ginger (unless in chai), turmeric, bee pollen, charcoal type flavors

My ratings:
95-100 – Super awesome deliciousness favorites – cupboard essential
80-95 – Also pretty delicious
65-80 – Pretty good
50-65 – Okay
1-50 – Probably won’t want to sip it again

I’m planning on being a Steepsterer as long as there IS a Steepster, so if you’re not hearing from me, that means something happened to my health… if you know what I mean. (Or as evidenced by the great computer hiatus of 2019, something happened to my computer… I have a dumb phone so can’t access internet on that. As of 12/20/21 my wifi might start getting unreliable.)

Happy sipping!
