Holy heck, Batman! This one is hot Hot HOT! I love it! Basically this tastes like cinnamon red hots – a perfectly spiced tea. I’m a nut for anything cinnamon and this delivers with a punch. I love to alternate between my morning chai blend and this one; one coworker thought I actually lit a cinnamon candle, the scent was so strong! (She’s a new fan to the taste.) This is the first Harney & Sons tea I tried, and from the get-go, I’ve been happily in love. :)

This has a pleasant aroma while brewing and tastes as good as it smells! The chocolate & mint medley is one of my favorite pairings so of course I would indulge in this low-cal dessert. I agree with others that the mint flavor is strong, almost overpowering the hint of chocolate. However, if you steep for five minutes or longer the chocolate taste lingers more. For a bagged tea this is pretty decent. It’s a great AM wake-up tea too!

One sip and this immediately became a favorite. I love the medley of fruit and floral, neither flavor battling for prominence, both flavors working peacefully.

I love the medley of white tea, fragrant jasmine and sweet honeydew. Steep for about 2-3 mins and you’ll be rewarded with a tea reminiscent of spring time. Great to chase away the winter blues.

I really enjoyed the flavors in this unique, strong blend. First off, the aroma hits you the second you open the package. The aroma reminds me of fresh snickerdoodle cookies cooking in my grandmother’s oven. The taste is very similar – strong cinnamon and vanilla. This is a perfect heavy fall tea – and I can’t wait to try it blended with soy milk and honey. However, plain works just perfect.
I’m intrigued about Brandon’s gummy bear tea – ingenious! When can we expect that?!

This is a nice minty flavor, with plenty of spearmint tones and a slight tarragon fragrance. (In fact I smelled the tarragon more than I tasted it). Refresh is definitely aptly named; I do feel this tisane refreshes my senses. I find it perfect hot, during a stressful day or as I unwind. Delish! A side note: I added sugar free vanilla syrup to it and loved the additional flavor profile.

My curiosity led me to purchase this tea – and this was my first purchase from 52teas. I am a definite fan! I’m sure everybody’s will taste differently, but mine was wonderful – very fruity and sweet. I could taste apricot, berry, lemongrass and a hint of ginger in my first cup. My second cup was much more fruity – apricot, cherry and berry. The green tea is high quality, too. Overall, this is a very refreshing and unique blend. Yummy!

I find it funny this was your 1st purchase from them lol. Welcome to the 52teas family!:)

Thanks! :) I know, my husband questioned why I would want to try this tea over others, but I loved the idea and took a risk. I’m so happy I did! :)

There are personal preference reasons why I doubt I’d like this, but I love the fact that he did this blend- my mom snidely calls my personal blends “kitchen sink blends” (she likes very simple flavors and isn’t big on tea to begin w/)… but this is way more over the top than even I would go:)

I started an interesting thread here http://steepster.com/discuss/863-steepster-poll-rating-methodology-personal-preference-or-flavor-accuracy on the theory behind tasting notes and ratings and I think the one reason I’m avoiding it is because neither method would work.

Method 1- Flavor accuracy: It would be way too hard to distinguish alll the flavor profiles going on here

Method 2- Personal preference: I’m not a fruity tea person normally and my own personal preference is that I be able to distinguish all ingredients (along with that they are cohesive and I can taste the base tea). So I think I’m meant to admire this one from afar lol.

drank Lavender Dreams by Teavana

This is a pleasant find, although I must admit I was a bit hesitant about drinking a lavender tea (really makes you rethink HERBAL teas, eh?). Surprisingly, this became one of my favorite teas. I love the lavender flavor – and the fact that the tea brews up a bit purple-y tickles me. However, I can’t drink this all the time – once every few days. It is strong, which is nice in a cup or two, but not all the time.

by any chance have u tasted the earl gray and lavender if you like lavender by revolution teas and i will try this tea . I would like to compare notes since you said you like lavender as i do also XD

KeenTeaThyme

I’m normally not an Earl Grey fan, but I’ll try it. :) I have a friend who loves Earl Grey so I always give leftovers to her. She hasn’t purchased her own EG in years! :)

Azure Luna

never mind then, i’m sorry i didn’t know that you didn’t like earl gray so sorry about that

drank Tranquil Dream by Teavana

I normally avoid tart teas (or anything with hibiscus as the third or fourth ingredient) but I was looking for a nice nighttime tea and found this one. It’s decent! The hibiscus is very subtle and more floral than tart which I appreciate. Night Night is calming and mellow, a great finish to a stressful day.

I have mixed feelings on this one. I love the aroma of the tea but the taste is off-putting. I think the tea is stale or something, because even if I brew it at 2 mins, the strong taste of smoky lemongrass comes through. There’s not a lot of citrus flavor. I’m tempted to try again, but not from Teavana. Can anyone recommend another brand to try?

Bio

Hello fellow tea fans!
I’ve been a tea enthusiast for years but just recently started brewing my own. I’ve created some blends, and enjoy researching about new teas. I combined my love of tea and writing to create a tea-devoted blog, Keen Tea Thyme. I have been writing for most of my life and am a former journalist with a degree in Communications and Social Psychology, and a minor in Writing. Journalism is in my blood, so that means I’m inquisitive by nature, will double-check sources and/or get a second opinion as needed, but also fair and balanced in my reviews. If my reviews seem more positive, energetic and have high ratings, it’s because I love tea. :)

If you are a tea company, I’d love to review some your tea! Free samples are always welcome so I can fully enjoy the freshest selections. I’m also open to tea swaps as I always have too many teas on hand to drink & would love to share with other tea enthusiasts! :)

My Simple Rating Scale (as of Feb. 2011)
>50: I’m NOT a fan. I could barely finish the cup, if I even did. I wouldn’t even recommend this to my worst enemy. Not worth my time nor yours.

51-65: Good aroma, good flavor. Just nothing pops to give the tea that special kick. Recommended to try; our tasting palates differ.

66-79: Yes, finally, tea – unique flavor profiles, great aroma & flavor. Recommended to try; our tasting palates differ.

80-99: These are cupboard essentials – delicious, aromatic and perfect everyday teas. Re-steepable (beyond at least one steeping). Highly recommended, fun for all ages.

100: These are my favorites, the ones I would take with me if stranded on a desert island. Beyond Highly Recommended.
