drank Chai Spiced Apple by Twinings

Mmm, this is very spiced I must say. First thing I taste is the cinnamon. Then I get the apple flvaour and the other spices. I got a teabag of this with a small gift from my church. It’s a nice wintery tea.

drank Spiced Ginger Plum by Tea Forte

I’ve been testing out some Tea Forte today. :P My friends mom gave me a box with 5 different flavours. Cause she hasn’t been using them and she knows I’m crazy about tea.
Anyway, this one is actually pretty good. When I opened it, I smelled grape right away, but I guess that’s the plum too.. It’s sweet and fruity with a little tinge of spice and ginger. It’s overall a nice tea.

Wellll, I tried this again as a latte, and its significantly better, so I did buy more of this. It’s actually quite tasty as a latte. Bumping my rating of it.

drank Coco Chai Rooibos by DAVIDsTEA

Finally decided to try my sample of this. And I remember what has put me off doing that. Coconut. I do not like the coconut. The rest of it isn’t bad, but I can clearly taste the coconut in this and I’m not a fan of it. It was drinkable but will not be having this again.

drank Chocolate Orange by DAVIDsTEA

Okay, why did I have to wait until now to re-try this blend? I tried it a long while back and didn’t really care for it, but now that it’s retired, I really love it! They always get rid of the really tasty ones too.. Anyway, I had this as a hot latte tonight and my, was it ever delicious. Its definitely the best ‘chocolate orange’ tea I’ve had! Perfect balance of orange and chocolate in there. It helps I think to steep it in a spacious steeper as well, something about the pu’erh leaves… I don’t know. But I LOVE this. I need to buy more online before its out of stock for good.

Finally got a sample of this to try out… I don’t mind the mint, but I don’t like the black pepper and other spices in this blend. Definitely not for me. It was drinkable though.

I like this tea, it has a nice fruity and cranberry taste to it, but it’s a bit light in flavour, and also a little tart. It’s good, but not my favourite tea ever.

drank Caramel Shortbread by DAVIDsTEA

Even though I was positive I wouldn’t like this tea, I finally gave in and tried it just because… And it smelled icky while steeping. I’m not a fan of caramel, so I knew it wouldn’t be great. It’s drinkable though. I’m getting a lot of flavours here. I taste the fruit in the blend, but I also taste the caramel. It has this buttery taste and its a bit sour as well. I have 2 agave in this and it’s okay but I definitely wouldn’t buy this one.

drank Tomato Turmeric by DAVIDsTEA

This was actually disgusting. I bought a to go cup and only had about 7 spoons, the spice was just too much. It was a really strange taste. After that I left it to get cold and dumped it later – in which the smell almost made me gag. :/

drank Gingerbread Matcha by DAVIDsTEA

I was looking forward to trying this, hoping to find a gingerbread tea I like… The flavour is there, but its very subtle. The powder smells stronger than the tea tastes. I don’t know why. I find this flavour to be more subdued than any of the other matchas. I’ll finish the rest I have, maybe it will be better iced. I definitely don’t dislike it, but its not what I was hoping for.

Bio

Hi, I’m Michelle and I am pretty much obsessed with tea. Some people say I have a problem. I mostly drink DavidsTea – but I am open to trying other ones too.

Things I LOVE in tea:
-Fruits (especially peach, melon, strawberry, banana, berries etc)
-Chocolate
-Lemongrass
-Cinnamon

Things I don’t MIND in tea:
-Stevia
-Vanilla
-Pineapple
—Mint & Peppermint

Things/ingredients I HATE in tea:
-Coconut (Rare exceptions)
-Nuts (Some exceptions)
-Caramel/toffee
-Earl Grey (Bergamot)
-Rice/fennel
-Coffee beans
-Bamboo
-Lavender

I am quite picky with my teas. If the primary ingredients are mixed with something I don’t tend to like – I will try it and its possible I’ll like it. But if the tea is mostly/primarily something I hate – I won’t even try it.
I mostly like Herbals, Green, Oolong, White and Black teas.
