13 Tasting Notes
This tea used to always rescue me at work. I worked at the front desk so nodding was def no-no. I would drink it around 2pm whenever I’d had a heavy lunch or when I felt sluggish. This tastes very good and citrusy. It would give me the boost to finish out the work day, and most times to even ‘live my OWN life’ after work. You should also try Allegros ‘Everyday Amazing’, its wonderful for a productive day and no jitters.
This tea works well. I think its equivalent to Smooth Move, if not a little better. This is a great natural way to help w/ constipation. Its also a great tea to begin a cleanse or fast and if you’re in need of a detox. I think this works best when you drink a glass of water an hour after drinking the tea. Go to sleep, and you should have ‘success’ in the morning, LOL. If not drink 2 more cups within the next 24 hours. This does not cause cramping either. The taste is fine, I squeezed lemon juice in mine.
I really like this tea, had it as a sample, and I’ve never like chai. This is a good warming tea after a hard day or a good tea for nausea or stomach issues. This is really good w/ raw sugar but even better w/ teavanas rock sugars. Ive always been confused as if this tea contained caffeine or not???
We don’t have a Teavana in my area, so while on a trip I was able to sample some. They gave me samurai chai at first, which i def LOVED. I’ve never liked chai, ever…until. But back to youthberry..as I’m leaving I notice this is another sample so I sip. It was sooo good. I wanted to change my samurai order. After paying $6 for a tin, and a lot for my tea and steeper, I walked out with a $31 receipt. Thats why I left the youthberry. I later ordered it online while they had a special promo going. Its still very good, but it tastes better w/ their rock sugar.
Ok, when I first brewed this cup, I was reading Steepster reviews, now I’ve signed up and I’m writing one, lol. This tea has a citrus taste, and a very subtle aftertaste that is pleasant. Suddenly, I’m very relaxed, and thinking of lying it down for the night. It reminds me of tension tamer, but not as strong. The results are very similar. This is def a good tea for me to drink at 11:30 so I don’t stay up until 3am. Paired w/ a bath or shower, this is def a relaxing tea. Two cups may be a good idea for those who have anxiety at night. This also seems like a good tea for meditation.
So, its the next morning and I’m back, lol. I fell asleep within 30min of drinking ‘The Rest’. This may be my nightly bed routine from here out. I slept a full 8 hours, and I don’t feel as groggy this morning.
I first had this tea at a local cafe. I loved it! I’m already a fruit tea fiend, and this took the cake. I later found it at WF for a high cost, but bought it anyway. I was happy to see that I made so many cups from one container. This was my first time buying loose leaf tea ever. The smell that it gives your atmosphere once steeping is delightful! I always leave my carafe open to have the blueberry smell linger.
I like to add a little raw honey or tad of sugar in the raw to knock off the tart taste. This def reminds me of blueberry muffins, and it also tastes great w/ muffins too. I’ve noticed this tea to be a wonderful diuretic. I too did a second steep and its good, but not as potent as the first cup. To date this is on my list of top 3 teas, and I’ve been a ‘drinker’ for over ten years.
