This is another keeper from Lochan Tea Limited. It smells & tastes a bit more green than Upton’s No.1 Tippy Orthodox GFOP Darjeeling (which I’ve been drinking the past few months), but has a sweet finish. This may be blasphemy, but I really like it with milk & Stevia. I will definitely keep this one in my cupboard at all times. I highly recommend Lochan Teas. It’s the only tea leaves I love to inhale when I first open a bag. Like I used to do with good coffee grounds. :)

A few weeks ago I read “The Ultimate Tea Diet” and I began drinking more tea. I’ve always used tea bags from the local supermarket, so trying loose leaf teas for the first time was quite an experience. I don’t think I can go back to tea bags.

Loose leaf is so much more economical because I can get 3-4 cups from the same leaves. The only green tea I like is Jasmine, but that’s the same when I used tea bags. Loose leaf green tea didn’t change my mind on that, but the search continues. I have fallen in love with Darjeeling and Assam. A first for me. I usually got Oolong tea bags.

I have to say I’m having the time of my life learning about the different loose leaf teas. :)

I’ve been ordering from Upton Tea Imports because of their sample sizes. I don’t want to buy a larger amount until I know I like it.

8/5/2011: I’ve recently placed orders with KTeas and look forward to buying teas from other companies. I’ll probably get most of my tea from upton because I can order a sample and try it before buying a bag or tin. I like that a lot. Upton also has an order form you can print out. Very cool! :))
