A new take on a chai blend — with a Keemun base! Fruity keemun, with notes of leather and stone fruits hosts this extra spicy chai with sweet black currants, extra ginger, and warming spices and just a whisper of floral finish.

Backlog from March 11th:

Disappointed in this one, since it smelled so good before steeping. Now it’s bitter. I get the chai spice flavors but there is something hovering over it. It’s tangy or something, I don’t know.

It’s getting better as it cools, thank goodness.

There is something about this tea I just don’t in this tea. I think that the fruit notes with the fennel just isn’t working for me. sad, I think that the concept is interesting and I love most all of A Quarter to Tea teas but this one is not working for me

Not a fan of this one, particularly. There’s something in here that I’m really not liking – there’s kind of a bubble gum-y flavour; my guess is anise and/or the black currants are the culprit(s), although I typically love black currants. There is also fennel in the tea, which I don’t believe I care for either.

The tea would probably be more palatable with milk and sweetener, so I may try that at some point if I remember.
