Another really good flavoured tea that I had this week!
I still think this could benefit from just a bit more sweetness; either some brown sugar notes or a little more marshmallow – however it’s very well balanced and the way the natural notes of the black tea base used play into the concept of candied yams is a stroke of genius. Lots of malt, cocoa, and sweet potato/starchy notes from the base, and then little bits of warming spices and a very slight burnt sugar note. It’s so elegantly assembled, while still tasting like the dish.
I could drink pots and pots of this tea.
