Identity theft is not a joke. Millions of people suffer every day. When your identity is stolen for the sake of a mere office prank, remain calm and have a cup of ‘Bears, Beets, Battlestar Galactica.’ This herbal, naturally decaf, berry-infused, crimson beet-colored tea with a hint of lemon grass may very well inspire you to inflict a well-fitting, slightly hilarious revenge.
Fans of The Office often cite the scene wherein Jim impersonates Dwight — from the episode ‘Product Recall’ in Season 3 — as one of their favorites. After all, if you want to fascinate Dwight, you may as well bring up bears, beets, or Battlestar Galactica … or rigid authority, or cat lady ice queens, or perhaps even The Crow. The name of this tea intrigued me more than anything else. I mean anything with the words ‘Battlestar Galactica’ in the name has to be good right?
It’s just ok for me. It’s a lot like a hot raspberry lemonade. The lemon in this is a tart lemon, not a creamy lemon. Definitely too much lemongrass in this blend. But it is drinkable.

Update – lowering my rating as I seem to like this less and less as I drink it (or maybe as it cools).

They completely overwhelm the lemongrass. There is on a hint of it. Prolly not one I’d get again. Wish you could buy the custom blends off of Adagio in smaller portions. Oh well. I’ll save it for the summertime and ice it.
Dutifully noted! I, too, wish we could buy sample sizes of custom blends, but Adagio seems to want the extra dollas.
I don’t own this tea myself; I gifted it to my boyfriend, who loved it for thematic and decaf purposes. I had some too, though, and I thought it mighty zippy. I did indeed have a reason for the lack of lemongrass, and that reason was, simply, well, I don’t really like lemongrass. Fun fact! :P (When overpresent, I feel it evokes too much grass and not enough lemon.) I do like a hint of lemon, though, so go figure. Perhaps I shall up the percentage!
Summer can’t come fast enough, man, although we could all bust out ye olde iced-tea makers in the thick of winter. Seasonal teavolution!
Alas, alack! I made it, but then, I still like it. Heh. I do find it interesting, though, that Nicole thought there was too little lemongrass while you found there was too much. (As stated in my reply to Nicole, I don’t like overt lemongrass flavor either! Bleh!) Perhaps the percentages in Adagio blends are always different from bag to bag … an off-putting thought! Lemongrass, lemongrass: why are you so changeably fickle? :P
Ah well. Perhaps I should rework this blend. HWDFI: How Would Dwight Flavor It? XP
