Been curious about this one since my sample arrived – the reviews have been enticing and it’s not like anything I’m used to. The smell was divine. It was odd and I tested this with my best friend – you take one whiff, smell chocolate, close the bag. Then open the bag again, whiff again, and then you smell strawberries. Awesome.

I don’t think I’m a big flavored tea fan, and also I’m am not a fruit flavored fan. So, this one will likely not be a re-order for me.

The flavoring is brilliantly close to what it should be – tastes like dark cooking chocolate and strawberry underneath, similar to a chocolate-covered strawberry. The tea is oh-so-pretty, and really fluffs up when soaked. The smell is divinely rich and yummy, such a cute tempting thing for Valentines. <3

Munched on while playing a game of League of Legend with fiance, and heated up a plate of mini cheesecake bites and an assortment of small cookies. Figured they all went hand and hand. True enough, one bite of the chocolate cookie helped enhanced the tea flavor.

The smell is wonderful and once steeped the chocolate flavor is very present though the strawberry disappears a bit.. Which I actually don’t mind. I love that it is still a bit on the bitter side. It is perfect sweetend with a bit of stevia and with a splash of milk (or even chocoalte milk).

As predicted, I enjoyed the last cup more than the first :)

You know when someone who’s wearing just way too much perfume walks up to you and you try to politely step back out of the cloud of it? That was my experience drinking this tea. It was overkill for me. I’ll make one more attempt using almond milk as some have suggested but I admit I’m not into a lot of flavoring, unless it’s a complement instead of brash center stage. If you don’t like perfume clouds, stay away.

I’m cutting my rating for this tea considerably. I truly have to wonder what possessed me to order 3 oz. of this in the first place. I reminder it being better (I’m sure a couple months diminished some flavor, but still…). This time I brewed two cups (trying desperately to use it up) with some whole milk. It tastes better with milk than plain, but that’s what bothers me. I’m sitting here thinking I should also add some honey. Again, that’s a problem for me. I don’t want to drink a tea that I have to add extra things to. A good tea, in my opinion, just requires water and a cup. It’s a weak tasting black tea surrounded by faint hints of chocolate and strawberries… nothing special and makes me wonder what I’m doing with the 55 g I still have left (yes, I actually weighed the tea to see how much of it I would have to suffer through).

I agree with Shanti’s assessment of this tea, right up to the point where she started actually liking it. Smells great in the tin, but disappoints in the cup. I really wanted to like it, but I just don’t. I only like to smell it.

Could it maybe just be an issue of needing the extra min of steeping? More leaf?

very interesting tea. Not something I would normally jump at because of the chocolate but it’s crazy how light it is and yet have that chocolate flavor. When you taste it you expect that creamy aftertaste of chocolate milk or eating a chocolate bar but there’s none of that here. Probably not something I would ever buy but I’m glad I got to try it.

Now you’re seeing how addicted I am to tea ad chocolate. Valentines by Adagio is one of the best smelling teas around. It smells and tastes like chocolate covered strawberries. I had been addicted to their chocolate tea, only to try this and get hooked. Usually I drink this when I feel like I want a change or for special occasions. I’ve actually brought some on trips for “comfort” tea. Awesome stuff!

I am secure enough in my manhood to say that I love this tea. It seriously tastes like a chocolate-covered strawberry, but the balance of the flavor is just right so that it doesn’t overpower the tea. A good one when you need a treat, either at the start of a work week or the end of a tough day.

How do I confess my love for thee? I certainly can’t count the ways, but this tea is one of my all-time favourites. It tastes just as it promises, with bright strawberry and dark chocolate, and is especially good with milk. Highly recommended.
