Finishing this sample packet off. Made an all right work tea. Nothing amazing.
I am not through the spice sampler. Need to find a new work tea!

“Weirdly astringent. Doesn’t taste much like vanilla, and even with milk and agave it sort of tastes like vaguely tea-flavored sweet milk. I won’t miss this one.” Read full tasting note
According to the International Ice Cream Association, Vanilla is by far the most popular flavor, getting a full 23% of all ice cream consumption. Inspired by this love of vanilla, Adagio has created Vanilla Tea. Combining the delectable flavor of sweet vanilla beans and premium Ceylon black tea, I’ll scream, you’ll scream, we’ll all scream for… Vanilla tea!
Adagio Teas has become one of the most popular destinations for tea online. Its products are available online at www.adagio.com and in many gourmet and health food stores.

Okay, this is pretty decent. I’m still not a huge fan of Adagio’s black base, but it’s not too bitter here, and this has a pleasant vanilla flavor and is somewhat sweet, which is nice. I feel like it could be brewed a little longer actually, which is rare for me with a black tea. I suspect if I actually did brew it longer, it would get bitter, though. Still, not a bad tea at all, and I bet my husband will really like it (he loves vanilla).
Flavors: Sweet, Vanilla
Nope. And I’ll give this the benefit of doubt in that it’s another older sample. BUT. I’ve noticed in quite a few flavored teas that have an almost “rubbing alcohol” taste to them. I don’t know what the deal is, but I guess it’s part of the process of adding some flavors. If a tea has it in it, then it’s very hard for me to ignore. It’s one of the reasons I’ve moved away from the more “flavorful” and creative tea blends. That aroma just spoiled this tea for me. M
Managed to get 25 minutes of cardio in this morning! I hated every minute of it, but MAN do I feel good now.
No need for coffee this morning, thanks to the happy endorphins, so I’m jumping right in with this creamy, nutty, and oddly robust blend. It’s the total package in terms of a morning wakeup tea.
I’m not dead!
This tea is the first tea I’ve had in many months. It is not really the best thing to start out with, since it’s fairly low-quality for a vanilla tea and requires some persnickety temp/time to get it not bitter for me. As it turns out somewhat bitter in this case.
I thought I’d reviewed it before but I can’t find my own tasting note. At any rate, I have maybe one pot of this left and I won’t be replacing it.
In other news, my health crisis is pretty over. I’ve changed job sites for 6 months to a year and Things. I’ll be catching up with stuff over the next week or so. Apologies to those I’ve let down. I should really know better than to make any promises to anyone by now.
I received this in a sample set from Adagio. This is not to bad, but not my favorite vanilla tea. It smells wonderful, the black base offers a tad bit of astringency , but nothing too strong and the vanilla comes through with each sip. A nice cup of tea.
Another sipdown from this morning. I rated this pretty badly before, but it’s not actually terrible—mostly just mediocre. The vanilla is more marshmallowy than I’d like, and not intense enough to wow me. As usual I find Adagio’s black base tea to be overpowering and not that great. Definitely not one I’d get again.
