From Adagio Teas

Like the dance that inspired its name, our Foxtrot tea is an overnight success that will leave you giddy with joy. It is an herbal cocktail of Egyptian chamomile, South African rooibos (with a touch of vanilla) and fresh peppermint. A soothing blend of familiar tastes that produces a pleasantly original combination. It’s entirely caffeine-free, but you’ll still have a spring in your step from the delightful, delicately clean and sweet flavor.

Ingredients: Chamomile Flowers, Rooibos Tea, Peppermint Leaves & Natural Vanilla Flavor

This is an absolutely exquisite, wonderfully beautiful tea. I fell in love with it as soon as I opened the box and the scent wafted out, distinguishing itself from it’s box-mates, intoxicating my olfactory senses. It’s a breezy tea with a refreshing breath of mint,a whirlwind of delightful chamomile, and a flutter of the rooibos flavors.

I love this blend because the chamomile is so sweet when mixed with the roobios. I’ve never had a a problem with chamomile putting me to sleep before but after a cup of this at work I struggled through the rest of my day. I will definitely save this for evenings at home.

Nothing to say about this tea that I haven’t already said. Just a great tea for any time of the day.

I was at work so late today. It wasn’t that I was under a deadline or anything, only that I was so close to being done with a big project, and I had that sense that if I could just push through to the end today, I’d be able to start next week with a clean desk, and isn’t that a better feeling for a Monday morning than starting a new week with the tail end of the last one? Well, success! I got it done, but it was a pretty long day.

I think that’s why I picked this tea sample for tonight, hoping that the chamomile would help me wind down quickly. And I have to say, it’s working! But I’m not sure if that’s from the chamomile or just from the pleasure of really enjoying a new tea. This is a good one.

The dry tea smells like York Peppermint Patties, which is weird because I could swear there’s a chocolate note in there even though there’s nothing like chocolate in the blend. It’s an enticing scent, though, for someone like me with an incorrigible sweet tooth at night.

Once the tea is brewing, that sweet note starts to smell more like the vanilla in the blend, and the floral-herbal scent of the chamomile comes out. That floral flavor is the first one that I taste, followed by the peppermint. The finish is a creamy, cool vanilla. I don’t taste the rooibos distinctly here, but I don’t miss it.

I’m into it! This is in the running for a proper order. I’d put it in the same category of tea as David’s Tea’s Valerian Nights, not because the flavors are the same, but as a sweet, desserty chamomile blend. And I loved me some Valerian Nights back in my pre-hiatus days.

This is basically a sleepy time tea. But unlike a lot of sleepy time teas, this doesn’t taste bitter or herbally. Rooibos is just a base to fill in wit the chamomile and peppermint. The vanilla really helps smooth out the herbal flavors and adds a bit a sweetness. Tasted good with and without sugar.

Grabbed a sachet of this from the last tea box. I like it! The flavor is mostly chamomile, but it has a pleasant something else going on. I enjoy the added complexity. Probably not special enough to order, but I definitely enjoyed it cold.

Ze_Teamaker

It’s good when your making custom blends for when you want to throw in that classic sleepy time tea flavor without wasting blending slots.

This one’s always consistently good.

AJRimmer

Yeah, I’d consider grabbing a little bag of it to help reach the shipping minimum in the future!!

A little too minty for my taste. I wish there was more roobios. A communiTEA sampling.

I had three cups of this, and even though the pot went cold after cup 2, I still went for it. I tend to dislike rooibos in its many incarnations, however the mint really mellows it out for me. Not that rooibos isn’t mellow by nature, I just taste a sweet earthiness to it that I find unpleasant without some mint. The chamomile rounds out the entire blend and doesn’t compete with the rooibos for the base, and compliments it rather well.

The scent in the tin is more or less the characteristic apple scent of chamomile and sweet mint with the warmth of the rooibos coming through as well. Perfectly balanced as all things should be! Scent in the cup is more of the same.

All in all, this is certainly a tea I reach for at night, especially when I’m feeling a bit under the weather.

Nice herbal tea. Good blend of fruit and vanilla and mint. Pleasant and calming evening tea. It does need to be used with a paper filter because the chamomile bits get stuck in wire mesh filters.
