Thank you Rachel for sending me a bit of this to try! I’ve not tried anything from Argo, so I was happy to have this opportunity.

This has a strong honey scent with soft notes of lemon. It’s really quite sweet smelling and very pleasant.

The black tea is a strong tea. Crisp, but not overly astringent. The lemon is just barely there, and I thought that maybe the honey was too, but as I continue to sip it, the flavor develops nicely. It has a very pleasing balance of flavor.

Elizabeth brought me some of this back from NYC!

Just used it to make honey crinkle cookies- so good. Also a hit at the last tea party, especially with milk and, well, honey.

This is such a great basic flavored tea. Oddly, I LOVE honey teas but rarely put honey IN my tea. The flavor tastes very crisp and clean. As an aside, this tea does perfectly well when made using microwave water (as the micro is my only option at work).

The honey is strongest at the beginning of each sip. As the taste cools the black tea becomes more powerful and the honey flavor more slight. The flavor is very natural and does not taste artificial.

I got the sweetest surprise on Christmas Eve – this tea was waiting for me at my door from a wonderful tea friend! I like honey and lemon, so this was right up my alley, and living in Carolina, of course I love the name! I had a cup of this yesterday afternoon, and it was exactly as expected. It has a fresh, tart lemon flavor with a hint of honey sweetness. Add a little milk and sugar and it becomes a creamy, lemony dessert cup. The tea comes in a beautiful recycled glass bottle, which looks so pretty sitting in my tea cupboard. I’m glad I have this tea to keep me warm during the winter months ahead, and every time I see it, I will be reminded of my far away tea friend. :)

-Dry blend has medium black tea leaves and twigs with yellow and orange petals.
-Dry leaves smell like fresh lemon with a hint of sweetness. Tea liquor aroma is malty with a sweet honey aroma and a small taste of tart lemon.
-Tea liquor is a clear medium brown yellow color.
-Tart lemon flavor with a rich malty finish. Strong honey lemon aftertaste that lingers.
-Best with milk and sweetener.
-Very good tea. A unique cup that becomes a sweet creamy decadent lemon flavor with milk and sweetener. Wonderful honey and lemon aftertaste.

What a strong aroma! As soon as I opened my 2oz bag I knew I was in for treat. Powerful scents of honey with faint lemon creeped out of the bag. The tea brewed strong, so you only need a little bit of the loose leaf in your infuser. The taste is a very soothing honey flavor backed by the kick of the herbal green tea. As with most black teas I’ve tried, the flavor does not linger at first. After a few minutes of sipping on this tea I get a better sense of the honey flavor.

Well, it looks like Argo sells loose leaf too, but I had a RTD from them, the Carolina Honey. Got it at the local Safeway (Von’s).
Although I am not a fan of honey, I am starting to appreciate it’s subtle sweetness in my teas, and this one just confirmed it. The tea wasn’t particularly impressive, and I could not detect any lemon. Wasn’t bad for a RTD, better than Lipton or Snapple that’s for sure! And a nice glass bottle that I think I can reuse for a while. I might try some of the other ones, there was a RTD Mojito one and a green.

This is a loose leaf tea you can buy from Argo. It is a very strong black tea with a nice honey aroma too it. There are hints of lemon which I only noticed after the steeping process. It is a great tea to have in the morning as a coffee replacement, especially if you are nursing a cold.

On tip is to make sure you do not let this tea steep for too long or it will start to get bitter very quickly. Anything more than 4 min on boiling is being adventurous. After trial and error I personally prefer about 3.5 min.
