This is a Ripe, Big Leaf Pu Erh, wet stored, and produced by the Meng Hai Tea Factory, in Xishuangbanna, Yunnan. Being wet stored, this Pu Erh was kept in a gigantic burlap sack, and was stored inisde a humid room, which thoughout a long period of time, created a very strong, earthy, and leathery flavor and aroma. The broth is strong and full bodied, yet the aftertaste and finish is amazingly smooth.

I don’t drink a ton of loose pu’erh(usually cakes) but this one is really amazing and is one of my favorites at the moment. But I only really make it when I have time to sit down and steep it all the way out, anything else would seem a waste to me.
