From Arthur Dove Tea Co.

Nope, it’s not quite a crumble, nor is it just a pie. These traditional desserts do include sweet, tart apples and they are coupled with warming, spiced cinnamon but this pudding can only become an Apple Betty when cooked up and served with the magic ingredient; caramel flavoured custard. It’s even better when mixed with Sri Lankan black tea.

Ooooh… I liked this a lot!

Very full bodied and brisk black tea with a whole lot of nuttier and grain oriented notes and just a hint of natural smokiness as well. It felt like such a beautiful and grounded based to layer on top this hint of more woody warming cinnamon, bright sweet green apple, a gentle fennel sweetness, and a lovely simple caramel note. It all clicked together and just seemed really balanced. I could taste intention in the way this was composed which is just a lovely feeling to get when you drink a tea. A marriage of artistry with beautiful, delicious flavours.

oooh that sounds delicious. Love nutty/grain teas. Green apple and cinnamon are also notes I love in teas.

I liked this tea enough to buy a really big bag. It’s so good and I’m really liking the way he blends flavors together.

I have no idea what a caramel apple betty was and had to look it up. Looks similar to an apple pie, but with caramel. I approve. I’m always hopeful, yet skeptical that a tea will properly deliver on the flavors of it’s namesake. This tea seems to do alright at that. It smells very caramel apple like. It’s a little light on the sip, but I get some apple on the tea base. The finish is where all the flavors come out. I get a clear caramel apple flavor and a slight sweet sensation. My cup has cooled now and I’m enjoying it a little less than when it was hot. I was distracted from my cup trying to read the inauguration morning news and there is a lot of it! Time to resteep and psyche myself up for grocery shopping! :/

Sounds good. I’m a sucker for caramel apples. I have tried all kinds of caramel apple gum too but haven’t found any that I like (gum nor tea).

I don’t think I’ve seen caramel apple gum before! AQ2T had a caramel apple tea that I really liked.
