Another new tea from my recent Arthur Dove order that I tried today!
I believe this is one of the teas that’s inspired by one of Arthur’s songs, so I’ll have to do the exercise of finding a song that this tea tastes like to me and then comparing it to the actual song it’s inspired by. Not today though – today I just had a nice cuppa.
The dry leaf aroma is very sour and pungent orange – not sour in a rancid way, but just in the kind of “Woah, that’s a lot of very fresh flavouring!” sort of way. It steeps out just fine, and actually very smooth and well balanced without any harsh/sour qualities at all. It’s mostly fruity and smooth orange (very classic tasting) with a moderate amount of soothing floral lavender. Not an overly perfumey/soapy lavender in this blend, which I do enjoy and appreciate. Lavender is one of those very “hit or miss” flavours for me.
This is super unique to me, and a great harmony of fruit and florals – I am happy I went
for the plunge and blind bought 50g of it!
