I had my eye on this tea for a while, but couldn’t just pull the trigger on spending $17 for 20 tea bags (or $27.50 for 4.9 oz). I just decided to splurge and get it and it’s been a good choice so far.

I will say this — if you don’t like anise or mint, this tea is not for you. The blend is comprised of peppermint, liquorice root, and fennel and is quite sweet on its own without any added sugar.

I usually have this on a rainy evening or after a long day because it is very relaxing. It’s good, but not an every day tea. If it’s too sweet for you, dilute it with a little water.

I am still amazed at the surprise kick of sweetness after every sip; it’s like unfiltered delightfulness in my teacup:)

Edit: I just tasted this tea while nibbling on sweet potato fries (both are quite delicious on their own) and oh my goodnesssss, I will be forever content with this amazing combination of flavours

Advent tea
The tea notes for this one are all over the place, some love it, some could take it or leave it, some say its too sweet. I like licorice so it seems ok to me, the first steep was sweeter and the second more nutty and nettle like. Not sure I’d buy a bottle, but was fun to try during holiday season when we could all use some de-stressing.

Made a of cup of this with a tablespoon of dried spearmint leaves and it was the perfect combo. This tea is so sweet from the licorice and the spearmint notes really created the perfect blend. Minty and sweet but not cloying.

Ohhhh Aveda. I’ve had 2 friends who worked for the company, so I’ve been around this tea a lot. Shame it’s so expensive. I’ll only get it through my friend with her employee discount.

Anyway, man is this sweet! I only steep it for a short amount of time with the tea bags or else it becomes undrinkable. I find that when it’s made for guests at the Aveda salons, it’s a lot less sweet. They use those huge family size bags and a lot of water, so maybe that’s why.

So this tea always reminds me of my 2 best friends when I drink it. I only have 2 bags left and will likely hoard them for a special occasion.

Sipdown!! (160)

Thank you Allie for sharing. Unfortunately, I think Aveda should stick to cosmetics because this is a whole lot of nope. It smells minty but the taste is closer to licorice and has a cloyingly sweet flavor that coats your mouth at the end of every sip. This really is not for me.

Yeah I was pretty shocked when I pulled the teabag out of the swap package.

One of my favorite teas! I grab a jar whenever getting new hair products.

It has a very simple and refreshing taste. I like the sweetness of it!

I brewed this extra strong, as that’s how I prefer most herbals. It smells good – luckily the licorice root is not overwhelming. It is indeed relaxing and it helped soothe my tummy.

I don’t think I’d go out of my way to purchase this, but it’s not bad.
