Harvested in early spring from Lion’s Peak or Shi Feng (the most sought after area for Dragonwell), this pan-roasted green tea is famous for its smooth, vegetal, roasted chestnut flavor. It has a rich, sweet finish and a pale green liquor that reminds one of the mist-covered mountains from which it hails, making this dragonwell a particularly delightful cup.
Lion’s Peak Dragonwell is a Bellocq Limited Tea. It has been purchased in a small quantity and is available only from our tea atelier and online.

This was a sample that was included in my order from Bellocq – generous as i’ve probably got enough here for 5/6 “normal” cups. For those who enjoy green teas, this is likely a very nice dragonwell. I’m not sure that i can understand why this is a limited dragonwell or if it’d be worth the price (42$/2oz) to me to pick it up, but it’s tasty. There’s a vegetal note here but not overwhelmingly so as it blends with the sweetness in the tea to become less in your face. I am enjoying this cup but i’ll see if i can share the generous samples with others who might not otherwise pick this up given the price.
They really do give generous samples with orders!
my first order with them, so I didn’t know. Maybe next time i’ll ask them for a black tea sample lol great customer service as well.
