From Bellocq Tea Atelier

Full-bodied ~ Malt ~ Citrus ~ Lively

Greenfield Estate was the first Carbon Neutral tea estate in the world. They have also moved away from mono-cropping to embrace the “forest garden” concept, striving to maintain biodiversity and ecological balance.

This organic and fair-trade certified OP (Orange Pekoe) black tea produces the well-known and appreciated crisp, malt flavor profile. Lively notes of citrus and honey unfold, both simple and majestic much like Sri Lanka, while delicate notes of spice, reminiscent of the spices grown on the estate, linger on the palate. Each infusion produces the generous, rich copper brew one can expect from an excellent Ceylon tea.

Pour a cup, sit back and imagine yourself in Sri Lanka as the cool, morning fog rolls over the lush, green hillsides while the call of thousands of birds fill the air.

Origin: Greenfield Estate, Uva Province, Sri Lanka – 2016 Organic & Fair Trade.

Brewing Instructions:

1 tsp per 8oz/250ml
195ºF/90ºC (Bring fresh, cold spring water to a boil. Remove from heat, set aside 1 minute, and proceed.)
Brew 4-6 minutes
Good for 2 infusions
