The Lapsang Souchong Black Tea is made from spring tea leaves from Tong Mu Guan, Wuyi Mountain, Fujian Province of China. The high mountains are covered in forests and are rounded in a heavy mist which helps provide the ideal environment for growing top quality tea. It is processed by the traditional crafts of Black Tea, and it doesn’t have smoky flavor. The tea has wonerful fruit and sweet flavor, the taste of it presents a sweet and soft and yet mellow with a delicate flavor on the back.

The Lapsang souchong benefits came from flavonoids and antioxidants that are abundant in camellia sinensis plant, in which major types of black tea contains. The Lapsang souchong benefit can be valued especially when you are drunk, for Lapsang souchong can be tea accompanying food. Please use hot water 80~85℃ (not 100 ℃) to Brewing the ta, the taste will be very sweet and mellow.

This tea is not smoky. It is very similar to Yunnan Sourcing’s Zheng Shan Xiao Zhong of Wu Yi Fujian Black tea. I think this one is the better of the two (at least comparing the 2015 from YS). It’s sweet and malty with chocolate notes.

When I was looking on Ebay for this type of tea it’s very confusing whether it’s this type of lapsang souchong or the smoky one. I like both but prefer this one. I just wonder why it’s called lapsang souchong when I thought the name “Lapsang Souchong” meant smoky?
