This is really lovely; clear flavours of clotted cream and strawberry jam, which are deliciously evocative and really capture the spirit of a cream tea. There isn’t much of a scone note to speak of, but that’s my only (small) complaint.

This tea is supposed to taste like scones with clotted cream and jam. I taste a lot of cream from this, but it’s a little fake. I still like it, but there are other creamy black teas that I prefer. The second time I had this, I noticed that it really does taste like store bought strawberry jam as well! It’s fun!

Homemade Advent Calendar from AJRimmer – Day 8

I actually audibly said “mmm” to an empty room upon first sip. This one’s good. It’s creamy and strawberry jammy sweet. The hearty base holds up those elements well. This doesn’t taste exactly like scones, but it definitely evokes a classic scone/cream/jam situation.

Yum! Good strawberry teas are rare!

Sipdown! (28 | 64)

Got a sample pouch of this one in my recent B&B order.

The strawberry here is very nice, it tastes fresh and tart and natural. It’s not super creamy but I do get some cream notes, especially toward the end of the sip. But that ashwagandha… Why?! It gives such an odd musty, herbaceous note that’s totally out of place in this blend. I don’t understand what they were thinking by adding it, to be honest… It just tastes weird, and doesn’t make sense for a strawberry & cream tea.

Oh well, at least I have some scrumptious strawberry teas from Lupicia, so I’m not too sad about this one not panning out. :P
