Bird & Blend Gourmet Tea Club for February 2026. This one…isn’t as bad as I was expecting, but honestly probably isn’t for me. It’s not a blend I would have purchased for myself outside of the club, as I fundamentally can’t stand liquorice root. Not only is it just too damn sweet, but it’s also throat-coating in a way I generally find objectionable. If I have a sore throat? Maybe tolerable. The rest of the time, pretty much a hard no.
The saving grace of this blend for me is the black tea base. That makes it more bearable than I would otherwise find it. The overwhelming flavour is, of course, liquorice. Objectively this isn’t by any means a bad tea, it’s just not the tea for me.
