From Bitterleaf Teas

This tea is the replacement for our now dwindling 2015 Giant White. Light and refreshing, this tea can be reinfused multiple times, developing from a light yellow, vegetal soup to a deeper orange with citrus notes and a lingering sweetness.

Yue Guang Bai teas, (aka Moonlight White) such as this one, are made from Yunnan (in this case Jinggu) big leaf material, the same as what’s used for puer. These teas are also suitable for aging, as has been the trend in China during recent years. The saying here goes that “1 year is tea, 3 years is medicine, 10 years is gold”.

I enjoy white teas and had read the 2015 production reviews here which sounded enticing.

For me the only similarity was that the large leaves were pretty.

There wasn’t any aroma in the dry leaf nor the taste others described in the previous production.

Stuff happens. :-)
