Sadly disappointed since I was really excited to try this tea. The smell came across as synthetic, almost like a strongly scented candle. The leaves themselves gave a small headache from brewing them. The reaction was not shared by a family member, who appreciated the smell.

Wouldn’t recommend it for people who are sensitive to smells.

I just adore Stacy’s cream notes. So lovely and not overbearing.

This was a pseudo sipdown, I finished the package but I already had bought another…

I’m not a addict. Nope not me.

The aroma of this is heavenly for melon lovers like me. Oddly enough, I love the flavor of melons and the aroma, but I don’t really enjoy eating them because I don’t like the texture, so this is a great tea for me to get my melon fix!

The White Peony tea pairs very well with the natural flavoring and the flowers. The aroma is very obviously of cantaloupes and cream. I decided to sweeten this tea with a bit of sugar, but found that I liked it more unsweetened where the mild vegetal qualities of the white tea still show through. I’ve never been a fan of fruit teas because it’s like drinking hot juice to me, which in most cases is really not an appealing concept, but this tea is wonderfully smooth and relaxing. The melon flavor is light enough that it doesn’t tread into “hot juice” territory for me and it manages to remain tea-tasting, crisp and light.

It’s not all that complex. It’s about what you’d expect from its namesake, but it delivers exactly what is promised. I can see why this tea is an award winner!

Sipdown! Made a pot of this in my new DT seashell teapot :D I kept thinking about it ever since it came out, in the spring, so I figured if I want something for so long and I think about it everyday, why not? Although I do think this tea is very good, I don’t think I will restock, just because I don’t crave it like some others.

Mmm this is so good!
Smells like Butiki’s Watermelon Xylophone, and tastes a bit like it. It tastes like nice and bright melon :))
This can easily be a favourite of mine and I think this would taste really nice iced! I’ll probably try that sometime next week :)

Thank you tons to VariaTEA and QueenOfTarts for sending me a sample of this! it’s a sipdown of Rachel’s and luckily I have more of Sony’s stashed away with my other teas :)

This is yummy and great. Of course. I expected nothing less. Although I must admit that the cream part is mostly lost on me, especially on the second steeping. But the cantaloupe… Oh yes! It’s totally juicy, ripe, refreshing and perfect. I think these unusual flowers also add some sort of characteristic mini-bite. I can’t quite put my finger on it, but this bite emphasizes the robustness of cantaloupe.

Yes, perhaps there were some creamy notes in the very first steep. More like… fruity custard notes. But I don’t care. It’s good the way it is. It’s great!

I probably won’t need to have this around in my cupboard at all times, but I will be definitely repurchasing it from time to time. I also think it will be a great companion for warm summer evenings…

I asked Stacy for this tea as one of my samples, after seeing all the rave reviews it got. I was a little wary of it because I’m not a huge fan of melon, but I thought I’d give it a go and be open minded. Verdict: SHUT UP AND TAKE MY MONEY.

As everyone else has pointed out, this tastes like a big cup of fresh cantaloupe. It’s not overly cantaloupey and all the sweetness is implied rather than outright. It smells absolutely heavenly once it is steeped. I went around my office making my co-workers smell it… yeah I’m that girl.

It’s light and creamy and fresh. I bet this would be amazing iced too. Has anyone tried it iced?

I ate a sad honeydew melon yesterday (I knew it would be sad, since it’s not honeydew season, so I was already braced for disappointment), and it made me think of this tea and how I need to order it soon….. This tea is everything my melon wasn’t. lol

lolainred

haha, that is hilarious. Melon tea… better than actual melon!

I love cantaloup…well most melon, really. So of course I would give this tea a shot. It’s tasty and I don’t regret getting it…however, I don’t see myself getting it again. I think because when I compare to how much I liked Pistachios Ice Cream and Potatoes & Applesauce, this tea is awfully quiet, and given I’ve got a slew of quiet teas from various places (Many of them accessible from local places.)and it’s hard for me to justify getting more teas that don’t really WOW! me from non local tea places or ones that cost a pretty penny. So…no probably won’t be getting this again. I will be adding it to the ‘iced teas’ list however.

Not sure how I haven’t logged this before as I drink it all the time! Had this straight the other day, no cream or sugar added, and while the fruit flavors are lighter, it’s still a nice cup of white tea. Add some cream and sugar (just a touch) and it gets juicier and creamier. Lovely tea and a great intro for people who haven’t tried whites.
