Happy Thanksgiving steepsters! It’s flurrying outside, the smell of turkey is in the air and I am craving eggnog but have to wait because it’s not dinner time yet so next best thing of course I had to have some of this. Just so delicious with the spot on spice and egg taste! I’m definitely thankful for this

Ok, so I never actually got to taste Creamy Eggnog so I can’t compare the two but decided since Stacy is shutting up shop in the near future that I should get my hands on some Spiced Nog to try it while I still could! This is pretty darn delicious! You get a real creaminess from the tea and the touch of nutmeg is delicious! I seriously cannot buy anymore teas right now but if I’ve run out by the time Stacy releases her next batch of new teas I think this one may find its way back into my shopping cart.

Trying to catch up on tasting notes for the past few days! This is such a unique tea. It’s a very pale color when steeped, just the barest hint of yellow-green, and it smells delicious. Really creamy with a warm touch of nutmeg. The taste of the tea is buttery and rich, with lots of egg/cream notes. (I don’t quite taste any vanilla from it, per se, but that may just be me?) It’s very smooth, with a natural sweetness that evokes the flavor of eggnog.

The nutmeg is present, but I would say it’s subtle. All the flavors are balanced, and I can taste the green tea base, too—it’s vegetal and buttery and complements the egg note well. I don’t know how different this tea is from Creamy Eggnog, but I love this version! I’m looking forward to drinking it during the holidays.

I love the spices in this and the creaminess of the eggnog but why does it have to be so green?!? Something about these green blends just causes them to deteriorate so quickly causing the flavors to take the backseat and the vegetal base to stand out. At least the grassiness was stronger in smell than taste but still it really takes away from the drink as a whole for me.

Part of what I like is the green, and how it works with the flavouring. Same thing with Banana Walnut Butterscotch – Sil noticed a ton of oolong, but that for me is what makes the blend wonderful. I love tea flavour :D (Ramble, ramble).

Haha with flavored teas, I tend to find the bases take away from the cup as a whole. The exception being black teas since there are times where the cocoa notes or honey or whatever they might be meld well with the flavors. When it comes to something like a green tea though, grass isn’t something I would add to my eggnog or in terms of whites teas (mostly from davids), I wouldn’t want to add a soapiness to my fruits.

Kittenna

Ew, definitely not grass in my tea. But I like the brown sugar/beany flavour with some. Fair enough from your viewpoint, though!
