From Celestial Seasonings

Some tastes are so familiar that just hearing their name brings their flavor to mind – like True Blueberry, whose simple, fruity flavor is best described as ‘tasting blue.’ The wild blueberries we chose for this blend are very high in antioxidants and have overtones of purple grapes, providing a deeper berry flavor than their farmed cousins. Try it on ice!

Hibiscus, rosehips, orange peel, natural blueberry flavor with other natural flavors (contains soy lecithin), blackberry leaves, wild blueberries and blueberry leaves

I picked this up during Blueberry Season on a whim at the Target. I love the scent of the bag and the tea once brewed. It reminds me of blueberry syrup. Not the mass produced kind but the homemade syrup.

I steeped the tea for a little over 4 minutes and then let it cool some. I find the tea has a good wild blueberry taste. I think a slight hibiscus flavor as well. It is a deep purple/red color. I’m reminded of a blueberry punch. The kids like this tea too probably for that reason. I might try iced this afternoon.

I think this is the last of my wedding party favors.

I poured boiling water over the bag and let the teabag stay. Wow, the blueberry smell from the brewed cup is amazing.

I mainly taste blueberry, with some sour candy notes that are probably from the hibiscus. I suppose some people might be put off by the sour candy, but I love it. It’s amazing that this tastes so much like candy while having no sugar or sweetener. I may have to buy more of this!

This was too tart for me, but I’m glad it hit somebody’s “perfect” spot!

I bought this flavor as part of a Celestial Seasonings Fruit Sampler. Great blueberry flavor and tart background. L and R liked it.

May Flowers! Onto the True Blueberry from the Celestial Seasonings fruit sampler! There was only a teabag of this one left, so this is a hot steep.

The blueberry is definitely a step up from the Country Peach Passion and the Black Cherry Berry. Unlike the Country Peach Passion, this one is back to that fruity hibiscus base that I personally enjoy (which I’ll still admit I enjoy better iced, though with the warm blueberry flavor it isn’t too bad, since it reminds me a bit of warm blueberry pancake syrup). Unpopular opinion, I know, but I really like the tangy fruitiness a nice hibiscus/rosehip base provides. The tea has a strong blueberry flavor and a lot of sweetness, which really gives me the impression of a plate of blueberry pancakes (or at least blueberry syrup!)… but again, I just find the overbearing artificiality of the flavor a bit much (I have a feeling I’m going to be feeling that about all these fruit teas…) It’s not… bad, exactly, I just wish the volume was turned down a few notches. But, overall… a quite satisfying bagged tisane. I still need to revisit the Raspberry Zinger, but I have a feeling if I was going to pick up just one of the four flavors in the fruit sampler, the blueberry might just be it!

This is seriously a lovely blueberry tea and heck for the little amount of money it costs I am super stoked about it. It smells and tasty like a Tim Horton’s blueberry muffin, delicious! No strong tartness, very smooth and sweet tasting. I bet this will be fantastic as a cold brew.

You really can’t go wrong with these CS Herbals, so glad I got the sample pack.

Very fruity. Great herbal tea. One of my favorites. Perfect for summer, but I’d drink it anytime. I’ve only had it hot, but I’d imagine it’s good iced as well. Very aromatic, but I like the smell.

Alright. So, when it comes to tea, I am quite picky about it. I’ve tried Black tea, White tea, Green tea, Chi tea, Masala Chi tea, Roobios tea, and Herbal tea. Let me tell you, I HATE Green tea and am not a big fan of Herbal teas. However, this tea, a herbal creation, has been magnificent! I absolutely love it! With just a little bit of sugar this tea is warming and floods my mind with memories of my childhood being around the blueberry bushes. I highly recommend this tea if you’re not really into herbal teas.

This tea is very delicious. I bought blueberry bliss tea from teavana and made that a bunch, but it was a hassle to make. I tried this tea and it tastes a lot like it. I love the rich blueberry taste when hot, and it’s also super great cold. It’s cool and refreshing . In the summer I make a big cup of it cold, and in the winter i make a big cup of hot. When I had my boyfriend try for the first time I think he fell in love haha. He and I both love the delicious true blueberry taste.

I could taste the blueberry but the tea had a tart flavor from the other ingredients that was stronger than the blueberry. I enjoyed the tea but it wasn’t one of my favorites.

Did you try this hot? I personally LOVE this one iced.

Yes I tried it hot. Maybe I will try it iced next time.

On the 12th day of steepdowns…

My anxiety is awful today so I had to stop drinking blacks much earlier than usual so I picked up this herbal. It’s super meh – the hibiscus outweighs the blueberry and it’s super tart. Not my favorite herbal, nor my favorite blueberry tea.

This is definitely one that needs sweetener, and even then it tastes more like grape than blueberry to me.
