From Adagio Custom Blends

Twinkle… the perfect nighttime tea for those who want a cup of tea as calm as the night sky. It’s a decaf vanilla black tea with equal parts of calming hazelnut and coconut, the bright stars in the evening sky.

Twinkle toes!!!!
that’s what the name reminds me of, every time I see it in the bin. I love teas with a fun name :)
and the taste… well, this is actually the second time I’m drinking it, but the first time I made it too weak, and added some sugar, which it didn’t need… so I waited to give it a fair review.
This time, there’s plenty o’leaves, no sugar, and a generous splash of milk. Yum!!
It’s malty, vanilla, coconut… all at once. A wonderful dessert tea, courtesy of the lovely QuiltGuppy who’s provided me with so much tea joy. Thanks for sharing this one, I am truly impressed :)

teawing

Lovely indeed, she has helped me the same way.

Indigobloom

a tea angel!!

teawing

She has good KSA’s :)

Indigobloom

heh, I work in HR… to me, that acronym means Knowledge, Skills and Abilities! :P

KeenTeaThyme

me too, indigobloom! although I work for the federal govt and that’s why I think of that! :)

QuiltGuppy

Aw, thanks. :) I’m really glad you like it, too. It’s one of my nighttime favorites. I didn’t know what KSA meant, though, so I think it should be just SA in my case… :) Then again, even that is doubtful some days.

teawing

LOL, I knew you were an HR person…but like KiTT my experience with the term is through govt. service. Fits QG for sure.

Indigobloom

wow so many gov’t people all in one place!
You have skills and abilities?? I mean, surely yes! but is that what you meant? lol… I’m not familiar with it any other way…

Indigobloom

and I have no doubts that you are a bonafide tea angel QG! :D

teawing

State now, not Fed any more…
:)

Indigobloom

ahh, that’s a different beast! atleast up here it is :P

The incredibly generous QuiltGuppy sent me some from her custom blend…and I just added it to my always ongoing shopping cart at Adagio! This blend is bold and strong, and utterly delicious. Now I should say that vanilla and coconut are two of my favorite flavors, and hazelnut is another I love, so of course I would love this blend! :) In each sip I taste a perfect medley of all three flavors. It brews up sweet as well – no sweetener added (not even I did, and I’m the Queen of Sweet). I think folks making the (right!) choice to switch from coffee to tea would like this as it is hearty and bold with a coffee flavor. But anyone who enjoys black tea would love this AM wakeup cuppa. Thanks QG! I am officially hooked!

KeenTeaThyme

NOTE: I just realized this was decaf! Had a placebo effect on me, then, waking me up – but still love it just the same!

teawing

Just like QG, helping us all get hooked on teas we have not tried… :)

IllBeMother221B

This sounds great aside from the coconut. :(

KeenTeaThyme

A fellow Steepster-ite called her a tea pusher. It’s so true! Don’t worry, QG, we still like you. ;)

teawing

LOL, now that you mention it… :) I accused her of getting kickbacks from the companies, I hope they appreciate the incredible promotion work she does.
She is a TRUE tea person.

QuiltGuppy

I have to admit that I was surprised at how much I liked this tea, being the self-proclaimed vanilla-hater that I am. I think it comes down to flavoring and how sweetened it is. The three flavors in this one mesh together really well and it’s hard to discern one from the other. I’m glad you liked it! :) It’s decaf because I’ve been having some issues with too much caffeine. I wouldn’t have thought it was decaf either from the flavor. Adagio did a great job in pulling it together.

This was my after work tea tonight, again courtesy of Indigobloom. I found it a nice but unremarkable blend, with the vanilla dominating. I didn’t notice much coconut, but I suspect that it is there more to support the other flavours than to be a star in the blend.

This is one of the better teas I’ve tried from Adagio, and I definitely thank Indigobloom for sending it my way!

Did you add milk or sugar?
I found it pretty much the same as you. Thanks for taking the temptation away from me… grumbles at vanilla

Tina S.

I had it black. I do wonder if adding cream would bring out more vanilla though. May have to try that next time!

A generous sample from QuiltGuppy of one of her own custom blends. This one is pretty good. I like that it is lower caffeine, which makes it great for a late afternoon/evening tea. I definitely get all three flavors…the vanilla, coconut, and hazelnut- all flavors that I like . The tea base works with the flavors, too. 24 oz. pot, 3 perfect teaspoons, freshly boiled water for 4 mintes. Lightly sweetened.
