I bought this because I thought the combination of mango and vanilla would be fantastic. The mint seemed a little weird to me, but, hey, maybe it would work?

Dry, this one has big chunks of what I assume to be dried mangoes and it smells fluffy. The closest I can get to the smell of the dry leaf is super cheap “fruit” flavored candy — maybe something involving marshmallow fluff? It probably sounds weird, but it’s a fairly pleasant smell.

I steeped this up as my work tea, and I kind of wish I’d gone with The Cheesecake Factory instead. I got what I thought might be fruit in the first part of the first sip, and then it transitioned to astringency. Not unpleasant and there’s a lingering aftertaste of mint which I really enjoyed.

Maybe the second steep isn’t as good as the first? I’m a little weird in that I usually take two tumblers of the same tea with me to work — the Timolino has the first steep and the Canteen has the second steep. The Canteen loses heat faster so its contents are always consumed first. I still have the Timolino left (and that steep was sweetened with a bit of rock sugar), so I’m hoping I like that one better. As it stands, I’m not in love with this one and not super happy that I have three ounces to go through.
