additional notes: Wow, this one is ancient is aging so so well, that last sip of the SECOND steep was perfection – peaches and cream. Heavy on the cream. Heavy on the vanilla. I would definitely restock this one whenever I order from DF….

Flavors: Cream, Creamy, Peach, Vanilla, Whipped Cream

That sounds like a much more refined version of the “Papa Don’t Peach” from Savoy I’ve been gooshing over.

Thanks again to the amazing TeaNTees for a sample of this delight. I had to do a double take on the ingredients because I swear this tea tastes like red rooibos. Not sure why that is the flavor I’m getting out of it. I’m going to try again later tonight with a cold brew.

TeaNTees

I would never send you red rooibos! I know you don’t care for it at all. If I ever did it would be a crazy accident. :p

Oh my dear I know! I don’t know what is going on today. My taste buds are out of whack I think!

I wasn’t sure about this one. The smell reminds me of peaches and cream instant oatmeal. Which does not sound like a compliment, but there was a year in life where I ate nothing for breakfast except off brand peaches and cream instant oatmeal. I still crave it sometimes too :P
All in all I was impressed and surprised by this tea, It’s a really good peach black tea. I can’t wait to try it iced!

The name alone made me take a second look at this tea. As I have been going through these French teas I have had to do some Googling as to what the words on the packages mean, since there’s no English translation. I figured this one was another fruit reference, but was surprised to learn that Nosy Bey is an island off of Madagascar. Since this has vanilla in it, I am guessing that that’s the connection.

Another of my favorites from this order, this tea has delicious fresh peach and vanilla flavors. I think it is the best peach tea I have ever had.

This was odd. It has two of my favorite flavors in the whole world, peach and vanilla, but it tasted SUPER artificial and strong. I could have sworn I tasted the slightest alcohol bite to it. Drinkable, but not my favorite, so I will be rehoming the rest.

200 °F / 93 °C 3 min, 0 sec 1 tsp 8 OZ / 236 ML

oh no, it sounds like the flavouring used was off – hate when that happens!

It seems like peach is one of those flavours I don’t instantly gravitate toward as a favourite tea thing, but will very occasionally really fancy. And I do really fancy this one! It’s juicy and peachy and there’s a warmth that comes from the vanilla and it’s just really lovely. Dammann does do fruits well, my goodness, they do. The base sits in balance with the flavours, and there’s a little floral whisper that makes it feel like an elegant summer afternoon in a resplendent garden.

Given how grim the view is out my office window today, it’s a welcome distraction.

Another tea from Shadowfall. Yay more Frenchies! I chose this as an afterthought because I didn’t want to make her ship $2 worth of tea to me. I love peach and I love vanilla even more, so I’m glad I get to try this one. It smells lovely, very peachy with lots of vanilla. There are a few chunks of candied peach and some rose petals mixed in with the tea leaves. I did the usual 3 minutes at 200 degrees.

This tea is delicious! It definitely blew away my mediocre expectations. Yes, the peach is lovely, but the vanilla flavor is done really well here. I would definitely describe it as a bourbon vanilla, I can taste that lovely woodiness alongside the sweetness. This is quite possibly my favorite type of vanilla. There’s also just a little whisper of rose, especially near the end of the sip. The aftertaste is lovely tart peach and that amazing vanilla. I added a little sugar and it’s just sublime. The base tea isn’t really detectable, which is fine by me considering how well done the flavoring is. Maybe it’s part of that bourbon vanilla woodiness? I couldn’t say.

Well done, Dammann Freres! And I’m so glad that I have a decent amount of this tea. Many happy peachy, vanilla-y days ahead!

Mmm that sounds delicious!

You’ll definitely like it if you enjoy peach and that sort of woody-style vanilla. I have a good amount of it so I’ll send you some whenever we do another swap. :P

Cameron B.

And I bet it would be really good iced, I’ll have to try that!

Dammann has a bourbon vanilla tea.http://www.dammann.fr/flavoured-black-teas/899-bourbon-3259920000523.html. Your tea sounds awesome by the way!

I got this from Anna when she was selling some teas a few months ago and after having plain teas this morning, I figured a flavored one would be a good mix-up.
The dry leaf smells like a peachy, floral bouquet. Not an ‘OMG FLOWERS!’ in-your-face sort of bouquet, but just lightly floral.
I wish steepster would let me put the 1.5tsp I use instead of changing it to 1 tsp. (just noticed it happening and it kinda annoys me. XD)
Brewed this smells divinely peachy with a hint of floral.
Taste wise this doesn’t live up to the smell unfortunately. It’s kinda peachy/floral, but it’s also got a green taste that I wasn’t expecting at all. Very strange. No hint of the vanilla this is supposed to have either. Even adding some truvia just makes it a kinda sweet, green, peach/fruit-ish tasting tea. It’s more drinkable with sweetener, but if I wanted a green fruit tea, I’d drink the only green fruit tea I have stocked in my cupboard. Lol!
Such an unfortunate miss.
