From Dammann Frères

Dammann Frères selects its cocoa nibs (ground, roast beans) from Madagascar, one of the best cocoa-producing countries in the world. Produced from Trinitario cocoa beans grown in the Sambirano Valley, its infusion has a unique, lightly acidic and delicately fruity flavour.

For fans of chocolate and mint, this drink is for you.

Madagascan cocoa bean nibs with a delicately acidic and fruity chocolate flavour are combined with peppermint. It is the perfect mixture of two natural ingredients brought together to reveal the chocolatey power of cocoa and the green, peppery flavour of a very aromatic mint. The richness of the cocoa nibs marries beautifully with the mint, enhancing each other in a well-balanced and round-bodied infusion with a refreshing and lasting finish.

Dominant note : Minty / Vegetal

Dammann Frères Advent Calendar – Day 18

Serviceable, but I can’t help but compare it unfavourably to my favourite chocolate mint tisane (that one contained anise and vanilla and I miss it dearly). This kind of of tea makes an enjoyable evening aperitif; I appreciate how it’s not sweet too.
