From DAVIDsTEA

If you’ve been to Japan in the spring, then you know about the cherry blossoms. People gather under the blooming trees to eat, drink and celebrate for days on end. This cherry tea brings you right there. It’s a festival of white Bai Mudan, green Darjeeling, Chinese green teas, dried cherries, coconut and rose petals. And unlike a spring festival, you can enjoy this deliciously fruity tea all year long.

Too perfumey, not a fan of rosebuds or rose petals in my tea. 2.5/5

I love this tea. Not only is it gorgeous to look at, but it’s delicate and fresh – like spring time in a cup. I’ll drink hot or cold and both are good. The cherry flavor is subtle and there are lovely, vegetal notes.

I had a free tea coupon, so I tried this iced.

I’m not sure how much I would enjoy it hot, but it was very pleasant iced. The predominant flavour was tart cherry, vegetal white tea (Bai mu dan maybe?) it was definitely suggestive of green tea, and overall fruitiness. Having it iced meant that the vegetal and tart aspects were very much subdued, so I really liked the overall flavour.

I received this tea courtesy of a colleague from her 24 days of tea calendar. I guess she found the smell off-putting, but I quite like it. The cherry aroma is very vibrant and it has a nice chocolatey smell even though there’s no chocolate ingredients listed. Brewed up the rosebuds provide more of a floral aroma although the flavour remains prominently cherry. There’s a delicateness from the white and green tea blend that is quite pleasant.

I’ve been clearing out last year’s advent calendar and this tea was apparently on day 8. I don’t remember it but it smells like cherry so it has that going for it. I made this iced and I think it tastes pretty decent, it has that sweet-tart from the cherry, but the tea base is also very present which is nice change for a fruity tea.

I’m not sure if I like it as much as Sakura Cherry, but it’s still very good and is probably cheaper. I’m too lazy to check, in all honesty. It’s leagues ahead of some of David’s other attempts at a cherry tea at any rate.

My daughter, Superanna, brought an adorable tea assortment from David’s Tea for me when she returned from Minnesota. My best friend loves white tea so I picked this as one to drink with her.

Today we had a pot of it with a Kringle and Lemon Pastry Slices that youngest made. I really wish I had tried it before taking a bite of my pastry because it took me a few minutes to get the full effect of the tea.

I see lots of reviews of people who think it tastes like medicine, and lots of people who love it. We loved it. Rooibos tastes like horrible cough syrup. This does not. Funny, but it tastes like Christmas to me. Maybe that’s because we had cherry chiparoons made with maraschino cherries and coconut, and we have fruitcake with candied cherries, but this tastes more like Christmas than all those orange and spice concoctions all the companies throw at us.

I also realized as I was drinking it that it smells like the Christmas candle my eldest just gave me from Yankee Candle that she didn’t want “because it smells like medicine but I think you will like it!” This is more like cherry candy than cherry cough syrup to me.

This is a very delicate floral tea that is not very sweet for a David’s Tea tea (Yay!). The cherry flavour is not overwhelming but feels very synthetic as others have noted.

That being said, it’s still a nice tea for a rainy day.

A really delicate little cup. Super nostalgic on the nose. Reminiscent of those cheap cherry suckers offered by the bank teller at the drive-through when I would ride along with one of my parents as a little girl. The cherry is present in the taste but more subtle than the scent would have you expecting. Still, far more cherry than blossom. No petals here. Tart.

For me, this is a real bust. As nice as the memories are, the taste of synthetic cherry is just not something I want in my tea, as I imagine others might feel.

Surprisingly good!! Im not a fan of cherries but this tea is amazing! Smells perfect, mild not too overpowring cherry flavor. I can taste a bit of coconut which is fine. I think this is one of the best blends I have ever had! This will be one of my fav teas.
