I’ve bought 100 g of Pumpkin Chai every fall for the last six-ish years. It’s never lasted me past November. I love this tea — it doesn’t oversteep too easily, it is sweet without being cloying, and the spiciness is more of a gingerbread cookie spice than a masala chai spice. I’m sure there’s more flavourful and interesting iterations of pumpkin chai tea out there, this one just works for me.

I find this to be really rather subtle tasting, maybe a little flat. You can taste the pumpkin but I found the other spices were kind of lost really. While this was nice its not spectacular or anything.

Tried this one again last week as a latte with a touch of maple syrup and it was delicious! The pumpkin and caramel was more noticeable this time around. Super silky and creamy. I’ve been trying more tea lattes lately and this one is among my favourites!

I’ve had this tea before on its own, and it’s nice, but today I made it as a latte for the first time, and it was really rather fantastic. It really helps mellow out all of the flavours IMO, and they all blend together so decadently with the milk. :) I’ll definitely be making this again.
Today is a nice, cooler than usual day here, so I figured something “fall-eque” would be really lovely to take advantage of this weather. And it’s never too early for fall, right? ;)

For the steeping: I only used about 150mL of water, but the rest of my mug was filled with the frothed milk. I also used a small amount of sugar (less than a teaspoon).

I don’t taste pumpkin at all, but I do love this one. I think it has a lot of brown sugar flavor. It’s good straight. It’s good as a latte. I hope it comes out again in the fall, so I can stock up a bit. It’s best sipped in front of a fire, snuggled up with someone you love.

Yum! I really shouldn’t be drinking caffeinated teas in the evening, but this just begs to be sipped whilst cuddled under a blanket on a cold winter’s night. Ok, so it’s not technically winter yet, but it’s still darn cold. This is by far and beyond the best tea from the pumpkin collection. My son can’t resist stealing a few sips here and there when he thinks I’m not looking. The balance of chai spice and pumpkin flavouring is just delicious.

Halloween in a cup! Bold pumpkin flavour with sweet notes of cinnamon and caramel candy. The black tea base goes a long way in ensuring this blend doesn’t become sickly sweet. I had the misfortune of oversteeping this once and it tasted burned and horrible, so brewer beware! When made correctly, this is potentially the best flavour of the fall season and will likely make a return every year.

I only had a sip in-store, but another exhibit of how DavidsTea consistently screws up chai. Every chai I’ve had from them is frantic with the flavours fighting each other… The vanilla chai is the only one I could consistently drink. It looks like I’m in the minority on this pumpkin one though. I’ll stick to the incredible masala chai my parents buy from the grocery store.

Eh? I wanted to like this so bad. I’ve heard so many people rave about it for such a long time. There’s no spices at all and there’s merely a pumpkin flavour neither. The chocolate chili chai and the coco chai are much better chais from DT!

This one basically begs to be tried as a latte so I had to give it a go. I found that it really brought out the feeling of eating pumpkin pie (and the milk kind of gave it a covered in whipped cream vibe that I doubt anyone would complain about). This would make for a great after dinner drink on Thanksgiving.
