From DAVIDsTEA

Spring eternal

Legend has it that Li Ching-Yuen was born in China in 1677 and died 256 years later in New York. His secret? Goji berries. Your secret? This hot pink tea filled with sweet, sweet goji berries, rosehips, citrusy lemon oil, apple, melon, marigold and hibiscus. It’s probably the most delicious longevity formula ever. Which is key, since you’ll be popping it for the next two centuries. Caffeine-free.

Ingredients: Apple pieces, goji berries, hibiscus blossoms, rosehip peel, honeydew melon cubes, marigold petals. With artificial flavouring*.

So I have this tea too, I tried it first this summer. Day 14 on the calendar, I decided to brew it iced for a busy day at work. I brewed it hot in the morning and slipped it in the fridge when I got to work. I pulled it out in the afternoon and had a refreshing iced tea. I really like this one. It is also a pink tea… so much beautiful colour.

This is hands down my favourite iced herbal. I don’t love it hot, but that tends to be true of about 50% of teas I find, so don’t trust me too much lol. However, tonight I infused about 40g of Goji Pop into a 750ml bottle of vodka. (Using a steeper from a tea cup, I poured the vodka through the tea about 10 times, then stirred it right into the vodka when I still wasn’t happy with the flavour. I mixed it with lemonade and club soda over iced and it was amazing.

Thank you lizeepea for the sample! :)

I’m not really feeling this one. After drinking both this tea and another fruity tea, I’ve come to find that herbal/fruity teas are just not my thing. I’d much rather settle down with a cup of plain white or green tea…or any other chocolate/pumpkin/sweet chai/oolong/rooibus tea.

This tea is probably much better to those who DO like herbal teas, but it’s just not for me.

Side note: When you’re done with the tea, let it go down your sink and into the garbage disposal – it will leave it smelling really clean and amazing! (That’s one thing I liked about it – the aroma is just wonderfully pleasant and bright)

Some of the batches of Goji Pop taste almost bitter when steeped for the suggested time and temperature. I know each spoonful is a little different, and it’s a favourite of quite a few of my friends. I like to have it on hand. :)

My bff introduced me to this tea, and boy am I ever glad she did. This is the perfect think-of-a-warm-summer-perfect-breeze-day tea. Sparkly and sweet in all the right ways, this tea brings a smile to my lips and literally puts a little song in my heart. And it helps me avoid some sweets sometimes… I’ll always have Goji Pop in my cupboard along with Read My Lips – they complement one another in an odd way, and life wouldn’t be complete if they were missing. I think I’ll only buy DAVIDsTea from now on…

Hibiscus is sometimes a big miss for me, but it is ok in this fruit tea.
It is sweet and tart. Apple, melon, and lemon are the most prominent notes when I cold brewed this. It sat in my fridge for about 24 hours.

It is so refreshing! It might even be tin worthy this spring/summer, unless something better comes out in the summer collection. I need somthing caffeine free to cold brew in the spring/summer.

VariaTEA

I find cold brewing usually tames hibiscus

tigress_al

Exactly! That’s why I enjoy it so much

Kristal

I hate hibiscus hot, but when cold brewed I actually don’t mind it :)

tigress_al

Yep, as long as it isn’t overpowering

When I first tried this tea, the girl at DT said that it wasn’t her favourite and it reminded her of a pink Starburst…and she was totally right! I think it’s delicious though, and can’t wait to try it iced as well.
